  • Bachelor Party @ XS for 20 guys

    Hey JC members

Long time lurker first time posting. I am planning my brother's bachelor party for 8/16-18 with about 20 guys going. He would like to have it at XS that saturday night since his favorite dj will be spinning there. My question is what are the the table #'s inside or outside i should be expecting that would accommodate our group. I understand there will not be a lot of sitting going on so I am not looking for a table to sit all 20 but I also don't want a table meant for 4-6 ppl.

Also, what kind of minimum you think we should be expecting to pay for a Tier 2 table? We are looking for a location with a decent amount of foot traffic but with a table large enough to sit at least half our group. Please list any table #'s that I can refer to on the floor plan. thanks

    Right then, 20 lads!

    Here's the floor plan.

So Tier 2 is 540 to 675 on the image above. And they are expensive. My thinking is for 20 you'd need at least 2, say 540 and 545. Strictly speaking per table of 10 guys = 4 bottles. But clearly you'll need alot more than that to secure those tables. Id imagine a $6k minimum per table + $500 to $1000 host tip + 30%.

Contact Bobby Yeadon for exact numbers, but I would say you are looking at $10-$12k minimum for two tier 2 tables plus $1000 handshake + 30%. So around $14000 - $16000 total between the 20 of you.

You could get it considerably lower by booking 3 tier 3 tables (300 - 495) or lesser still if you get outside tables.

biggest tables at XS are the third tier ones - 380+385, 390+395, 480+485 and 490+495.

you'd be ok with your group at any of those. 390+395 is the best location IMO of the four, but they're all the same size.

I would keep in mind presale tickets are $30 each

So contact a couple of hosts- sometimes you get different prices from different hosts- and look at the map.
Maybe get a table for 6 or 9 and have the rest of the crew presale it.

Those are considered Tier 3 tables? If that's the case I would consider that area over Tier 2. Anyone know by chance the minimums would be for those tables? It's not a bad idea to have a few of the guys buy pre-sale as well if we can avoid having to get two tables. Considering our group will probably shell out only 5-6k max I will have to be creative. thanks

Generally for tables its one bottle per three people+ tax/tip so for 9- 3 bottles but minimums will be higher for better locations.
Plus because its Saturday night not likely to be any bottle specials b1g1, etc.

not sure what that tier runs, but you're basically saying you've got a $4k table min budget. Would have thought you're in the ballpark for sure. suggest contacting on of the XS hosts.

                5 or 6k max? for 20 guys?

Mate you need to have words with your group you arent getting a table anywhere at any club for 5 grand for 20 blokes! Remember its 30% tax and grat and there's a handshake too. You're basically asking for a $3500 maximum spend between 20 guys! That's not getting you anywhere.

If I decide to get 2 tables to accommodate my large group would I have to tip the host twice the amount? say 1k? I was thinking of getting the 900 tables because it will be close to the dj and I've heard it has a lot of foot traffic. Just not sure how big the tables are.

I wouldn't do a 900s table with more than six dudes. At least in my experience.

I would say you would have to double-tip. I dont know for sure, but for a host to get 20 guys he's gonna have to pull some strings so id put that his way anyway.

Your issue is your total spend mate. Be realistic here. Both with costs and what you're going to drink per person. Earlier in the thread there was a mention of a $5k or $6k total that includes tips, handshakes and gratuity.

You guys are going to need to be dropping $10k minimum to get 20 men into a club, and even then you're getting away lightly. You call up an XS host even for 10 guys and they are gonna want more than a $5k min spend, so with 20 its gonna be at least double that!

Think of it from the clubs point of view... 20 guys takes up alot of real estate and uses large high-end tables they can sell to high rollers and people with serious money. They will not let a prime spot go to a large group of men on a bachelor party go for relative peanuts.

I'm not trying to get a tier 1 table or anything. All I want is a reasonable sized table that can be used as a central meeting point. I keep reading on this forum about it's usually 3 guys per bottle. If a bottle is $625 for example and all in price being about $800 per bottle. We would want at least 6 bottles which would cost 4800 with another 500 host tip. This is the formula I've been using so I don't know where all this 10-20k minimum is coming from. I have no desire to be by the dancefloor or even tables behind those. I have no problem having 1/3 of my group getting presale tix but if I can get all of us in using the above calculations would be the preferred method.

You can get 20 guys into xs for a little over $600 on presale tickets they are $30 each
                          http://xs.wantickets.com/Events/1307...-XS-Las-Vegas/

and you can use the 1 bottle for 3 to figure out a table min.
The $500 host tip ask that was mentioned on these forums was for a table on Sunday night of MDW with David Guetta. One of the biggest nights of the year, on a holiday weekend with a huge name dj.

Your weekend is a standard Saturday night in the summer.

Its worth talking to a few hosts who work at the club because some are more senior and might be more flexible.

                          Have fun.
