We got BS on Friday pretty low min (1k) with agreed upon handshake Chris is gonna try and land us main room

1. How early can I show up? I'd rather be the first one in to make sure I stand a solid chance on main room
2. With 4 people 1k min what table would we get main room if we could land it?

Just ask Chris what time to show up...keep in touch with him that night but I'd plan on 10:15pm at the latest. The earlier he can get you in and seated the better table you'll be able to get. You're probably looking at one of the 70's tables (right of the triangle bar in the floor plan).

Yeah in our agreement I said early arrival I'm just trying to gauge how early honestly though with 4 people and 2 bottles earlier is better gonna need some time to polish them off.

Wondering if I got steered off track here at all: Before finding this forum I booked a bunch of suites through Venetian group sales for a large bachelor party and I asked the group sales person for a contact for Tao. Interestingly, I got connected with Robert who I later found out is based at Lavo, not Tao.

Anyway, Robert was very friendly and helpful, and after a few emails we settled on a $5k minimum for what he called a "prime" table at Tao on Saturday night for 20 guys, but Robert was not specific about what "prime" meant or how much space would be available for our large group. He did tell me to ask for Jake at the door on Saturday night.

With a group our size, real estate is going to make it or break it for us, and I'd prefer to have location nailed down ahead of time.

Questions:
1) What location in Tao would be best for a group of 20?

2) Should I go through Robert or Jake to nail down a location?

$5k should put you in the moat area or dance floor depending on the date. For a $5k min you should definitely be discussing location. First time I did bottles at Tao I switched hosts b/c one wasn't responding and I ended up using Chris Traer who was fantastic.

If you've been happy so far working with Robert then ask him if he can confirm your table will be moat or better. Once you use the word "moat" he will realize you know your stuff.

Chris hooked it up this weekend. I am still amazed how empty it was at TAO. I am still amazed I made it to the middle table area with 1k this past weekend.

With 20 guys they may put you in a 'cabana' which is still main room, and not a bad location...but 2 moat tables would be better.
Just not sure if you can tie down 2 moat tables for $5k on a Saturday....it's possible though.

Yeah, Chuck's is different than what comes up on Google. Google shows a service bar where tables 36-38 are on Chuck's. The Moat area is also arranged differently.
