I am about 3 weeks out from my vegas trip and need some advice. We are doing all open format Th-M June 27-July1. We had planned on doing Ling Ling on a friday because we are staying at the hotel but i have heard its over priced and kinda whack. I need more data. How is the ling ling? Is it worth the 2000 min we are planning on for friday night or are we better off going to Tryst or ...... Your take on Ling ling and your suggestions for open format replacement (doing 1OAK on Sat) if its gonna be whack. Thanks

What are the different lines at Hakkasan? I've heard of expedited line-- is this the club's way of taking away the "handshake" where money goes into the hosts pockets, and instead the club profits?

My group will be staying at MGM Grand during this day and wondering if there are any perks to staying at the hotel already? Would we still have to purchase the presale($30 guys, $20 girls) or is there a host that works a possible guestlist? Were choosing between here this night or Nicky Romero at Eclipse the same night. Not looking for bottle service, just wanna join the crowd and have a good night with good dance music.

I don't think you'd get in free as a hotel guest especially for guest DJ's, & $30 is cheap for presales in Vegas.
But do keep in mind that Hak has been doing last minute guestlists for each event and if you wanna wait in the Guest List/General Admission line you can alway take your chances, you'll get in faster with presale tix.

Hakkasan Guest List - Experiences?

My group will be in Vegas during EDC weekend and we have an employee at Hakkasan who says we can get in on her guest list so long as we have an even ratio of girls/guys. I do not believe this will be a problem, but considering it will be incredibly packed this weekend AND Hardwell is playing a sold out show do you think we will have problems getting in?

My questions:

1) Have you had any experiences with Hakkasan's guest list and did you have any trouble/friction getting in?
3) How long was the line?
4) If we were to pay at the door how much do you think it will cost?
5) Does the employee guest list have the authority to get people in relatively easily?

I am fairly experienced with clubbing in general and I do not want to trust this girl, but my friend swears by her word.

I'd be wary of anyone claiming they can do anything on EDC weekend.

the question is, how much are you willing to chance it? To me its worth the 50 bucks or whatever and not having the hassle of the evening chasing down someone who is at work, and going up to hosts and claiming you're on such and such a list. What if their capacity hits early? Your guestlist entry means nothing then

1. Hakkasan has been pretty open with guestlist- I think because its such a big room- posting it on facebook
2. I have heard stories on these forums of 15 minute wait on a regular Thursday to a long wait on a Calvin Harris Saturday.

In regards to edc weekend- I think you will be fine at nightclubs- pools are a different story.
Realize 115,000 people are going to be at EDC at night and every club is open. This is much different then MDW,LDW,NYE when no event just nightclubs.
For example Thursday- Hardwell Hak vs Avicii marquee vs Nicky Romero Light vs Dirty South surrender vs Dash Berlin/atb tao vs everything else.
Friday/Saturday it gets even more competitive

on guest list generally:
1. might make you wait even if its not full to create an image but your getting in free
2. make sure your name is added to guestlist, is spelled correctly and they are going to be there that night if a problem arises.

Does anyone have a contact for guestlist entry? I'm going in July we are having dinner at Hakkasan then heading to Hakkasan for the club after wards.. the restaurant told us if we are on the guestlist we can enter through the restaurant... a guestlist contact would be awesome..Anybody have one?

OP: I would not rely on a guest list for Thursdays. No point in having a guest list if pre sales are selling out. That is also a THURSDAY. I imagine a crazy pre-EDC rush.

i think you'll be fine but i've heard some horror stories about people waiting an hour or longer on the weekend if they arrive like 1030 or later... i'd go early to be safe if you are doing this just to save $.

Hakkasan - Calvin Harris - Advice/ Info needed

Hi all,

Will be flying in to Vegas last June from the UK and notice Calvin Harris is playing his usual residency while im there so was thinking of checking him out....a few questions from the people in the know:

1) If you buy presale tickets......can you turn up at any time or are you restricted? Is trying to get on the guestlist any better?

2) What time does Calvin Harris Start his set and can anyone give me any info on what he actually plays (His own commerical stuff or is it more trance/house music)

3) Where is the best place to dance/stand to watch him......any hidden spots that are worth trying. Its just me and my wife so we can squeeze into anywear.

Any further advice/tips would be appreciated

Pre-Sale tickets asks that you arrive by 10:30. Its in your interest to get in and get your hand stamp and leave. If it hits capacity a ticket will mean nothing.

Calvin Harris will not come on until 12 or 1.

Just try to get on the main dance floor before he comes on.
