    Question about bottle prices

    Apologies if this is a stupid question - I think I know the answer already - but I'd just like to know for sure that I am working costs out correctly for our upcoming trip.

    Say a bottle were advertised at $500 (using this as a round figure) is tax/grat then added to that bottle price to get us to our minimum spend?

    So basically if we had a $2000 min at $500 a bottle would this be a straightforward 4 bottles or would the $500 have the (approx.) 30% added to it meaning that 3 bottles would cost us 3 x 650 = $1950, leaving us with only another $50 to spend?

    not sure I get your question as the wording on it is a bit confusing but I think the question you're trying to ask if the minimum spend hosts gives you is with or without tax & tip included?

    If that's correct then that $2k min they quoted you is without tax & tip included so you would have to buy 4 bottles at $500/each to cover you minimum spend.

        Nighthawk is correct... $2000 min spend is the amout you are required to spend before tax and tip.

        You are missing one tax though.

        8.1% sales tax
        20-21% auto-tip
        10% Live Entertainment Tax (LET) (only some day/nightclubs charge the LET... Marquee and Hardrock do)

        $2000 min spend, then add:
        + 39.1% tax+server tip
        + $200 Host tip (this amount varies greatly depending on situation)
        = ~$2900

              i don't believe they do. it's a contest not a performance
