We are looking to find some spots that play mostly Hip Hop, Reggae, and a little R&B if possible. The last time that we were in Vegas we hit up a spot called Poetry and liked the music selection. I know it was a little... uhh ghetto but hey, everybody needs a little ghetto in your life
. Was wondering if there are any spots like that left? If not can you point to some spots that might work. We are staying at Planet Hollywood. Thanks
Hey I'm pretty much looking for the same. Let me know what you find. So far I'm hearing great things about 1OAK.

No one ever provides details...Mike please tell me what was the crowd like...what was the ratio?Originally posted by MikeK32 View PostIt was mostly hip-hop and it was a blast. Highly recommend it.
Were peeps trying to mimic the last Kendrick Lemar video or was it really a good time and not a sausage fest on the dance floor.

Maybe no one remembers details because it was TOO awesome??Originally posted by kman90 View PostNo one ever provides details...Mike please tell me what was the crowd like...what was the ratio?
I went to 1OAK last year and yes, it was amazing...I think Fabian and I were pretty lucky on that night because it was the night poker player Antonio Esfandiari shipped $18M and he was celebrating there along with runner up (and friend) Sam Trickett (only won $11M for his effort) so you can imagine the place was PACKED of ladies...
It was also the birthday party from a guy from Rhino, so might have helped too.
But yeah loved the place

My group was 4 guys age ranging from 25 - 28. We had a corner dancefloor table. I remember seeing plenty of attractive women on the dancefloor. We had no problems meeting girls...everyone was there to have a good time. Place was packed all night. Definitely wasn't all dudes. Pretty even mix of all races.
The venue itself I thought was cool. Decor was legit. Definitely not a huge mega club like an XS but I never felt cramped like in a small room or anything.
All the staff was great. Joey Orr was fantastic - set us up with a great table, great minimum, checked in multiple times throughout the night. The waitress was great.....don't remember her name but was one of the friendliest I've had in Vegas (it may have helped that we did a few shots with her
). Security was great - not just in helping out with the "rif raf" around our table but in general having a good time, dancing to the music, chatting with us every now and then.
DJ Que was the DJ that night. Again....don't remember a ton of specifics but do remember very much feeling the music. Heavy on the Hip Hop (I know our table went HAM when Bugatti came on....don't know about everyone else!) but also remember a Michael Jackson song mixed in and an EDM song or two towards the end of the night.
We shut the club down at around 4AM. My one buddy took advantage of the Mirage's awesome new promotion of "Buy 1 hotel room for $199, get one condom free" promotion with the girl he had met at the club.
Had a great time, highly recommend it and would like to go back!

When you have girls at your table you don't really pay attention to the entire ratio.Originally posted by kman90 View PostNo one ever provides details...Mike please tell me what was the crowd like...what was the ratio?Originally posted by MikeK32 View PostIt was mostly hip-hop and it was a blast. I've been to 1OAK 3 times, once on a Friday and twice on Saturdays. Always have had an amazing time but have had a table each time. Not sure if I would do GA there as I rather do GA at megaclub like XS just due to the space and knowing the talent will be top notch2016 (past) - none
2016 (upcoming) - June 10th - 13th. Venetian. Invasion schedule
