Any Poetry-like Clubs left??? Looking for some Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae Club

Hi Everyone!

We (8 dudes) are rollin into Vegas on the this Thursday (6th of June) and staying until Monday the 10th. We are looking to find some spots that play mostly Hip Hop, Reggae, and a little R&B if possible. The last time that we were in Vegas we hit up a spot called Poetry and liked the music selection. I know it was a little... uhh ghetto but hey, everybody needs a little ghetto in your life . Was wondering if there are any spots like that left? If not can you point to some spots that might work. We are staying at Planet Hollywood. Thanks

Nothing quite like poetry still around. Your best bets are 1Oak, Tao, Gallery and Chateau if Poetry was your thing. Body English has a straight up hip-hop night but I can't remember which day.

Thanks for the reply! That sux, oh well, I can see that a lot of the clubs have gone to EDM.. How the heck do we get as far away as possible from that? Is the only option after that top40?

Stay away from XS completely. If you go to Marquee or Hakkasan then stay in their hip hop rooms all night.

In addition to the ones ccc mentioned, Lavo on Sunday nights is good, Pure is another option. Both play hip-hop and top 40.

1OAK and Tao would be your two best bets but always check the DJ listed to make sure

If youre staying at PH and dont mind a little ghetto and want hip/hop then Gallery would be right up your alley. You could also check out Moon, but not sure how it is now. Has anyone been to Moon lately?

First timers looking for hip hop clubs

2 girls 1 guy Vegas trip..

We will be in Vegas June 21 - June 24.

Throughout the weekend we are looking for hip hop & r&b clubs, strip club mainly hip hop, nice lounge hookah bar and the best pool party.

We also want to hit the Ice Bar. We are just having trouble finding these clubs and how to get in touch with promoters or presale tickets


We even saw the evasion wristbands and was thinking about purchasing. Is this a good idea? Help

you're having a hard time 'cause hip/hop ain't the norm for Vegas...you'll find open format options that play a little, but the numbers, the money, and the people flock to tier 1 clubs that are huge and play EDM....you can find hip/hop in tier 2/3 clubs and the best day pool parties play EDM. Good luck.

I went to 1OAK for the first time last week. It was mostly hip-hop and it was a blast. Highly recommend it. Hit up Joey Orr for 1OAK.
