  • Go all out one night or pace yourself?

2 friends and I are headed to Vegas for a weekend in late August (we're guys in our mid 20s) so we have Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. We were thinking about getting bottle service at a club Friday and Saturday night and then just hitting up Rehab Sunday and taking it easy Sunday night, just hit up a bar or something. Bottle service for 2 nights obviously means we'd have less to spend per night. In your experience would you screw it and just go all out on a table one night and hit up bars or clubs general admission for the other two or do what we originally planned? Also would anyone recommend the best clubs to go to on those nights for us just have a good time and see if we can hook up with a group of girls? None of us have been to Vegas many times. Prefer Top 40/Rock over EDM but it doesn't really matter. We liked Moon, didn't like Body English (back when it was the only club in HRH) I haven't been to the Hard Rock since it's been remodeled but had a great time at the Hotel so that's where we're staying again. How is Vanity?

I'd do bottle service twice if you can afford it.

There are many clubs better than Vanity. Nowhere plays rock - you can get a mix of hiphop/top40/EDM at 1OAK, Hyde, Haze, Pure which would all be good options for you. You're looking at a 1 bottle minimum at those places for a group of 3, so I'd budget $225-250 a person each night.

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Thanks for the reply Ocam. A friend was telling me about Pure. I also heard really great things about XS would you recommend that or is it much more expensive than the others?

XS, Light, Hakkasan, Marquee - these are the most opulent clubs in Vegas. Unfortunately "budget" doesnt fit well with them.

The exception being XS on Sunday/Monday, Hakkasan on Sunday and Marquee on Monday where the table mins are lower than Fri/Sat.

What dates in August are you going? If you are looking at the weekend of 31 August/1 September - then that's Labor Day Weekend and prices will be more expensive than normal.

We are heading there the weekend before that, August 23-26th. Would you say it is worth it to pay more to get into the likes of those clubs or is it all hype? One of the main reasons we liked Moon was because the tables weren't roped off so we just tipped the bouncer and people just came up and partied and the bouncer took care of people being an asshole. When we went to Body English our table was roped off and it was even a problem getting some of the people that were part of our party in.

Most places are roped off. In big clubs it's essential otherwise there will be randoms everywhere invading the space of people paying $$$$$ for tables.

Yes, XS and the other top clubs are worth it - but you pay for it.

I saw in your earlier post you were thinking of doing Rehab. I would consider doing Daylight instead - brand new so will be full of attractive women. Rehab trades a lot nowadays off its branding and former glory. You can still have a good time there, but the new pools have left it for dead.

I'm planning on going that weekend. I'd say do bottle service two nights unless you plan on doing Hakkasan/Marquee/XS, where like the previous poster mentioned, budget doesn't fit in well. Can't wait for club lineups to come out for that weekend.

Thank you both Hmmm well based on a club like Pure going for 225-250 a person can anyone tell me what it would be per person for XS and the like? We went to Rehab back in 2009 and just paid for a $200 minimum beach chair a person and had a blast. Does daylight have something like that?

i rather pace myself and go out with a bang on the 2nd night cause don't forget you have a dayclub in between friday's nightclub and saturday's. I would rather get a $500 min chair or $1k min daybed somewhere on saturday and go all out saturday night with bottle service at one of the new clubs or XS & Marquee. But that's just how I would do it, if your budget permits then bottle service all weekend till you can't hang anymore

XS would most likely be a 2 bottle min + $200 host tip. You're looking at around $2k all in?

I wish we'd have known about daylight before we booked everything. I guess there's no such thing as $200 minimum chairs now they got bumped to 5? We booked a late flight out on Monday so we could just hang out on the strip during the day after we check out and then head to the airport. We made the mistake of doing the same thing last time and went to Rehab then a club Sunday night and were spent Monday when we got up. This time we were hoping to avoid that by booking a room in the HRH Tower going to rehab on Sunday then going up to the room to shower and just hanging out and going to dinner. If we knew about daylight and that rehab was aging maybe we would've looked into staying at Mandalay haha.

I know that's why I'm saying it sucks One of the main reasons we booked Hard Rock was so we could go to rehab and run up to the room right afterwards. We booked the trip in January so I wished we'd have known about how it has fallen from the ranks at that time.

can't you just cancel the hard rock room? or did you book through a 3rd party website that isn't refundable?

Hmmm, I booked through travelo****. I'll have to call and see if there's anyway I can switch it up.

That's the same weekend as the "Jackify" invasion. I'm trying my damnedest to go that weekend as well (Thurs-Sun). Sadly my friends are claiming either too broke, have kids, or significant others don't let them, but I am still trying!

Honestly, I would get wristbands to the invasion (which is a pool event each day and a nightclub event). You can try to share tables with others going to the invasion to reduce some cost as well.
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

                              2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
                              2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.
