  • Few Important Questions - Help Needed!

    Hello there,

We are two friends (27 & 30) coming to Vegas for the first time. I found this forum to be very helpful in planning my trip. A lot of helpful people and good information. I hope that JC members will help me out in planning my trip.

We just have 4 days to spare in Vegas (weekdays unfortunately). We want to do at least one pool party and one nightclub. Plan is as follows:

Stay: We have booked Penthouse **** View Suite at MGM Grand for 4 nights.

    Monday 22nd July 2013
Would want to do pool party on Monday. Heard that Bare @ Mirage is good on Mondays.
    1. Do they have cabanas?
    2. If yes, what will be the F&B minimum for a cabana on Monday?
    3. I would definitely use a host from JC recommended hosts. How much to tip the Host?
    4. How much to tip busboy, waitress and bouncer?
    5. For F&B minimum, do you have to pay upfront or at the end of party? Do they accept credit cards?

    Tuesday & Wednesday
We will just roam around Vegas and try some fine dining, gambling etc.

    Thursday 25th July 2013
Want to hit a club on Thursday.
    1. Which club would be good for Thursday?
    2. What will be the F&B minimum for a table in that particular club on Thursday night?
    3. I would definitely use a host from JC recommended hosts. How much to tip the Host?
    4. How much to tip busboy, waitress and bouncer?
    5. For F&B minimum, do you have to pay upfront or at the end of party? Do they accept credit cards?

Answer to the question that if we are only 2 guys, then why do we want MGM Suite, Cabana and Table service? Well, we like to socialize and to make new friends

    Gambling questions
    1. Which casinos on the strip has single zero roulette tables?
    2. What are the minimum roulette bets at the casinos on the strip
    3. Is there any casino which have rapid roulette/electronic roulette? Like casinos in Macau and Singapore?

I would really appreciate your help here. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Sam

Tuesday I'd expect very low minimums for Cabanas... two guys you could likely get away with as low as a bottle (speculation). Not sure on Bare but imagining they've got cabanas.
Tip your host around $50-100 per bottle on average...depending on group, service, hookups, etc. On more competitive days/nights you may need to hit the higher end to guarantee table/cabana placement but for tuesday it's not as much of an issue.
Waitress tips are auto-gratted at about 18%
If not also included, Busboy is usually good for $20 or so. Security for $20-60 depending on service.
F&B Minimum can go either way. an order your bottles and tab out... or just pay at end of day/night.

No idea on thursday other than Tryst has a great bottle deal (2 goose 2 moet for $600). A $200-300ish tip here would be wise for a premium table location. There are many other good options too.

Single 0 Roulette on the strip is generally High-Roller rooms only.
Most casinos have $5-10 minimums (total inside or outside, per spin)
    Unsure on rapid roulette.

Monte Carlo has electronic roulette...willing to bet MGM does as well.

Tryst would be my pic for your Thursday nightclub.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
