    EBC live entertainment tax

    I have been given 2 different quotes for an Encore beach club cabana. One host has listed live entertainment tax whilst the other hasn't but has advised me that you don't have to pay it there.

    The quote lists 8.1% tax, 10% Live Entertainment Tax and 20% gratuity. I know tax and gratuity are standard but is the live entertainment tax in addition to the promoter / hosts tip?

    Does the live entertainment tax apply to Wet Republic?

    LET + sales tax goes to the state of Nevada. The auto grat 20% goes to staff

      as of right now LET is not applied to WynnCore clubs so not sure why it is included in your quote. They did raise their prices on bottles though.

        I have found out its apparently because lil John is The DJ. Still seems a little unusual!

          sounds BS. wynncore doesn't charge LET. Until the new clubs opened this year, the only place that charged LET was marquee/MDC. Presumably, LET will creep in more and more over time as venues open/refresh, but AFAIK, there is no club that is going from no LET to charging LET.

          As an aside, the change XS made last year of not having auto grat sucks. trying to work it out in your head when smashed is just plain hard work.

            might be because lil jon talks on the mic a lot rather than just spin a set

              Yeah I got quoted for the same event (lil Jon) with LET..

                XS didn't have autograt as far back as two years ago. I remember because I was drunk and trying to figure it out in my head. Was hoping they'd switch back. Guess not.

                      When I was in Vegas last yr the only club which charged the LET tax was Marquee. Marquee Day Club didnt even charge the LET tax. Does anyone know if Hakasan or the Light are charging this LET tax?

                        yes they both are. only clubs that shouldn't/don't charge LET are WynnCore properties and the other tier 2 clubs
