Do most of the clubs apply this 10% tax now? Or is it only certain ones or on certain nights?

Not most clubs yet, but it seems more and more are adding it as the price of djs go up. I dont think Wynn clubs have added it yet

Only clubs I'm aware of that charges LET is Marquee, Hakk, Light and probably The Act

I've read that the city will most likely try to make it mandatory....it's one of the stupidest taxes ever imo

Yeah LET makes me not even want to get B.S., which translates into not really wanting to go to Vegas.

40% in tax and auto-grat is nuts. Color me cheap, but I'll avoid LET clubs at all cost. It's really the principle.

The problem with LET is its broad defintion so every place could do it as long as a juggler walks by you throughout the night or anybody entertains you in a million different ways

They do, it does not show up as a separate line item that says "LET", it just shows up under the "Tax" portion. It's a combination of the 8.1% sales tax and the 10% LET. In addition, there is also another line entry that just says "Service Charge" that is sandwiched in between the itemized gratuity and tax line. The service charge comes out to 2%, I haven't figured out what that is.

I believe they're amending it currently so WynnCore clubs might be in the mix in the near future. I know it's been a controversy with EDC, they're deciding if they want to host EDC in Vegas at the speedway again or find a different city/venue that won't require LET from them.

If that's the case, I hope EDC does leave. Any government dumb enough to jeopardize the future of one of the biggest annual events in Vegas deserves to lose all potential tax dollars from it.

This is one thing that as an Australian does my head in when I come to America, the way the price quoted isn't what you pay. Even the government seems to nickle and dime you. A bottle that the menu says cost's $500 is actually 38.1% (20% grat, 8.1% tax & 10% LET) more - $690. Damnit just tell me that it costs $690 so I don't have to do the drunk maths.

they do that to lure you in with their cheap prices then hit you when you're stuck and have no other choice but to pay.
same with resort fees at all the hotels, they should just include that into the price but they don't so they can advertise a lower price and bait you then make you pay after your stay is already over.
