The 4-Guy-Group-Dilemma

Hi All,

As most of you know already, there's always a max of 3 guys/bottle at most clubs, which always brings up the question of what to do when you have 4 guys in the group...

Question - So, what would you all do for Thursday, May 30 @ Tao - we have 4 guys in our group and a budget of about $800 for this night total:

1) Buy pre-tix at $20/person, pre-game like it's nobody's business and stand all night;

2) Buy 1 bottle minimum for 3 guys, then the 4th guy buys a ticket to get in himself to join up with us sitting in the forrest; or

3) F' the night, Blow your budget, get 2+ bottles and party like a rock star.


That being said, how much do you think option 2) would cost with tips/tax included?

Dude...explain to the Host that you've come all this way and ask what it would cost to have an extra. The best bet is always to find a group of gals going in single and invite them for a drink at your table if they'd be kind enough to come along. It's a win-win situation for them, they won't say no.

I vote for 3) F' the night, Blow your budget, get 2+ bottles and party like a rock star.

But if that's not an option...I'm not sure about Tao, but 3 guys to 1 bottle is not a hard and fast rule. I've done 5 guys with B1G1 before at Pure....so it's not Tier 1 and it's not technically one bottle. I would reach out to a host at Tao (Chris Traer or Donnie Eversole), tell them you have 4 guys and are looking for a 1 bottle min, and see what they can do for you. But you have to keep in mind that 1 bottle at Tao will likely get you sat somewhere away from the action.

Yeah, that's what we were thinking too....it's basically 2+ bottles or pre-sales only (blow budget or not blow budget I guess)...

Thanks for the offer, but out plans are Tao-Thurs, Light-Fri, Marquee-Sat and XS-Sun.

Also, the only night we contemplated on bottle service is for Thursday at Tao. We sorta want to try doing the pre-sales more this year as last year we spent a small forture during the w/e and found we were sitting at our tables more than anything...lol.

I have a similar dilemma with regard to Tao/Tryst. I dont think its worth going Tao on a Thursday with an $800 budget. Youll get sat miles away and its a waste of time.

Also - be realistic here, 4 of you are gonna go through a bottle of vodka in no time, whatsoever. It'll be gone in 45 minutes tops. Remember you're doing the pouring, and its not like youll be doing small measures. You've got to up your budget mate.

Its just not worth doing bottle service with one bottle between 4. What you gonna do for the rest of your night after that bottles gone?

I even think 2 bottles between 4 is not enough as you will blatently have girls around and they arent gonna wanna sit with you with no drinks.

Id just do the Tryst deal that Thur. (2 goose for $450.00). Last time I went to Tao on a Thur. they wouldnt even let you in to certain areas of the club without a table or a female with you. Just an FYI

Id just do the Tryst deal that Thur. (2 goose for $450.00). Last time I went to Tao on a Thur. they wouldnt even let you in to certain areas of the club without a table or a female with you. Just an FYI

Thanks for the tip - are you referring to "VIP" areas where tables are located? Or, are you referring to more general areas of the club? If it's VIP section, then that would be understandable as I've seen certain areas of Tao with enclosed sections having tables, etc. that overlook the dance floor.
