No disrepect intended, just wondering if the moderators in these forums receive better deals (lower mins, better location, BxGx) from the hosts they advocate to the members than regular posters can get.

In no way suggesting either of them (moderator/host) are doing something under-handed, because both are very helpful, but i think its a fair question being that not all recommendations are from the JC list of contacts.

Were all here for the same reasons, to plan trips and help others plan trips to Vegas, if someone is getting a better deal than you it's because they network and have a relationship based upon multiple visits to the same host. They're not getting anything extra back for their recommendations, if anything the host might be more willing to buy them a round of shots or hang out with them on as bros on the nights they're in Vegas, but in essence they're just helping you out by recommending the person who's helped them out in the past.

I recommend certain hosts on these forums -- but haven't used any of them personally yet. My recommendations are based on positive feedback from other members (see the host appreciation thread).

People ask for contacts, so I oblige by giving contact details of people who have shown a track record of helping JC'ers out.

There's only so much a host can do for you anyway when it's their job to sell tables (at the highest price they can get) -- they can't move heaven and earth for a person just because s/he has been recommending them to others.

recommendations whether they're from the forum, or not from the forum are always helpful in your cause. you scratch out back, we scratch yours.

just because someone is a moderator though doesnt mean they get special treatment.

Not at all. That's how it goes. You know someone and do business with them and refer and they give you a solid deal and answer your calls and texts. My friend has been hosting in Vegas for years and he knows someone at all the different places so we go with him or set up deals through him.
