DJ Mak J Tryst May 16th

Thinking of doing BS at Tryst on 5/16. I saw they have Mak J spinning. Anyone ever go when he was spinning? We're looking for more hip hop/top 40. So I wasn't sure what the music would be like? Thanks!

Based off of what I've heard from someone who saw him last week it will probably be a bit of everything in his set. Some EDM, some mashups with hip/hop and top40. You can check out some short clips of his live sets on YouTube. There will be a couple tables of forum members there that night

Thanks Chuck! We're between Tryst & Haze but leaning towards Tryst. How can I find out which forum members will be there? Would be awesome to meet a few fellow members!

I'll be there as well as 4-6 others along with some non-members.

Do you know what table you'll be at? We're currently looking at 601-603-604, 610-615, 420-425, or 401-402-403. Any insight on these locations?

I haven't tied down an exact table but plan to be on the 600 side somewhere. Any of those 600 tables would be good.

chuck what sort of min have you confirmed with bobby for the 600's on this night? has he been able to confirm the location...

i've been told that they can't guarantee table location inside

My understanding is the 600's all vary quite a bit...and mins may be going up from when I confirmed my table a couple weeks ago. I didn't request a specific table, just gave a general idea of what I'd be happy with, my minimum, handshake and leave the rest up to him. I will look into it this afternoon and report back.

To lockin locations next Thursday in the 600's here's what you're probably looking at...

Upper dance floor (like 600 or 605) $3,000 min and $500 shake
Another member got 650-670 area by the windows for $1500/$300

An independant vip company is pre-buying tables which will make things a little more difficult as the date gets closer.
There are some lower priced options as well if you have a smaller group, but you'll need to commit to around a $300 shake

So basically to get a "firm" commitment for an inside table next Thursday you're looking at about $1,000 min and $300 shake to get started...up from there.
