Pre-Paid Passes or Guest List?

Hi,
I was just curious if the better idea would be to buy pre-paid passes to the big-time clubs ( XS, Marquee, Hakkasan,1Oak, etc ) or is the better idea to contact a host to the club to get on his/her list?

Pre sale questions...

1. How much in advance do we need to buy pre-sales?
2. What time do we need to turn up if we get pre-sales?
3. Do we need to tip anyone when buying presales?

Yes you wait in a line but its much shorter and moves pretty quickly

I had the same question, but it pretty much got answered here. We're planning on going May 31-June 2. Hakkasan on Friday currently at 1:1 with 6 girls and 6 guys (possibly more -- waiting on 7 other people to reply). The guys are probably going to do pre-sale and guest list for girls. Does anyone have recommendations for hosts/promoters at Hakkasan? Thanks in advance!
