I have been browsing this site off and on for a while and I see discussions pop up about what club to go to, and tier 1 clubs, tier 2 clubs etc....

The only club ranking that I have seen is the Nightclub & Bar Top 100 (national). It got me thinking that I should make a site that polled Vegas insiders in regards to the top clubs.

In the meantime how about we each share our opinion on the top clubs. It could be an unofficial JackColton.com hot clubs ranking. For anyone interested in sharing your opinion, I will tally the results let's say after a weeks time.

Here is my list.

1. XS. (tied for 1st with Marquee)
3. Hakkasan. (Wasn't really sure where to to put them. I haven't been there but they have top DJ's and a ton of opening hype, so #3 for now.)
4. Surrender.
5. Tao.
6. Tryst.
7. 1Oak.
8. Pure.
9. Haze.
10. Hyde.
11. The Bank.
12. LAX.
13. Lavo
14. The Act.

I would say Hakkasan is tied with XS and Marquee, even giving them the slight edge because its new, hype and because of their dj lineup. Went to all 3 last weekend. You can't really go wrong. See who the dj is and how much you're looking to spend and make your decision based on that.

What nightclubs typical caters to hip hop music more than others? Coming on MDW and looking for that type of music mainly within our group. I realize most places dont really play a ton but I guess I'm looking for the ones that play more than others.

ranking clubs based on how "hot" they are could very widely depending on several factors including talent lineup vs others lineup same night, pricing etc.

Just off the top of my head-LAX, Pure, The Bank, Moon. Stay away from the Wyncore clubs, Marquee, Light, Hakkasan if you want a club that caters to hip hop (Although Marquee has the Boom Box Room, which is small & Hakkasan has the Ling Ling Room that cater to the hip hop crowd).
