Where to sit with all these folks...

Hey everyone-

Been reading on the site for a bit, and finally getting around to post. Everyone seems to give mountains of advice and wanted to get some opinions from you good people.

I am planning my brother's bachelor party at the end of June. We plan on doing bottle service at a still to be determined club on Friday night and bottles at Marquee on Sat night. We have about 20 guys in the group. My question is where should we sit? Some of the guys at saying they want to sit right off the dance floor, but I'm thinking with a group that big it would be a pain getting in and out, and not allow us much space in general. We are all into Hip-Hop so we will be in the Boom Box room.

We are also looking for a club to go to on Friday. My brother mentioned Hakkasan, but it just seems like a lot of money and not sure if the Hip-Hop room there will be banging or not.

If anybody has and advice/opinions/suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'll need two tables...you'll have plenty of room with two tables. Hip-Hop you say...do a couple dance floor tables at 1OAK on Friday. The Hip-Hop room at Marquee is pretty small...you can get Hip-Hop at other clubs where you'll have some more space. But if you're sold on going to Marquee I get it. When are you going?

We will be there June 27th to July 1st. We have done a table at the Boom Box room before and they put us up in the corner over looking the dance floor and we had tons of room because we were the only ones up there and had good access to the dance floor. At 1Oak, has the layout changed much from when it was JET? I did bottle service at JET and loved being on the stage opposite the DJ. Tons of room and privacy. I guess my brother mentioned Hakkasan because it the "latest and greatest" but I hear mixed things about it and not much on the Hip-Hop.

I walked into the hip hop room at Hakkasan last night to check it out.... way better than the one at Marquee IMO... reminded me of Jet a lot. Was pretty full around 230-3.... i think you'd like it.

I'm not a fan of the size of the Boom box room or size of the tables, especially considering 4-5 of the other good options for hip hop. On both of your nights, you are doing rooms inside of EDM clubs vs a club that is only open format/hip-hop. May make sense to do an actual club that is open/format hip hop at least one of the nights.

I guess we are just going off past experience. We have done Marquee previously and had a great time. We've been to 1oak when it was JET (too long ago to be relevant, I know), Moon and The Bank. But something to note was when we went to these clubs we had more of a mix in tastes. This group is more hip-hop than anything. At this time nothing is set in stone and we can always make changes, so I'm open to any suggestions.

You have a ton of options. Double check pricing on Ling Ling room, but 1Oak, Tryst, Haze, maybe Hyde, Tao, should all play enough hip hop. Also check to see if there are any urban performers at any of the clubs that Sat. It may be too far out to see, but maybe check in May for the lineups. The past few weeks, some good urban performers were in town and the clubs leaned heavily hip hop music.
