Is this deal...actually a deal?

Hi guys,

We're headed to Vegas May31-June3rd for a buddies bachelor party. We're all in our late 20's, early 30's and all pretty much married so we weren't planning on spending too much time at clubs (also some have smaller budgets for the trip than others). One of the guys found this deal...

My questions are;
Is $189 reasonable for this? Are we actually getting anything we couldn't get on our own? To me $1400 for two bottles and a table sounds pretty decent but at Pure is it actually a deal?
We're in town Thursday-Sunday, which night out of those is best at Pure?
Also how much and who would we tip with this deal? From what I've read on here tacking on a extra 40% for tip and taxes is pretty standard right?
Last question (for now) is has anyone ever used VegasVIP to book anything before?

Pure is a tier 2/3 club. I would imagine you could get buy 2 get 1 or maybe even buy 1 get 1 on bottles.

A few things: First, will you have a lot of vegas noobs? If not, I don't really see the point of having the vegas charter around (to places like the welcome sign). You could equally 'budget' pre-game in the casino or in the hotel room. Also, I've been on a couple of these and the ones I've been on the alcohol isn't as readily "available" as they make it seem. However, this could be different.

Secondly, $189/pp seems high. You based your number on 6, will the 7th also be paying $189? Does this include all taxes and auto gratuity? At Tryst bottles have decreased in price and you can get Grey Goose at $375 (from what I heard). For two bottles and 6 seats, including a $250 host tip and tax and auto grat, it would be $201/per person. For the 7th guy, you could buy a pre-sale ticket, which would drop the total to $178/per person, which is cheaper than the $189 and a much better club and vodka IMO. Remember, this would be for two bottles and six seats. The 7th guy could join your group, but you'd would have a place to sit for 6. Also the greater the host tip, the better your table location will be.

Secondly, places like 1oak also seem to offer buy 2 get 1, so you could get 3 bottles for about $220/person, including a $250 extra tip, tax, and auto-grat. Even If your $189 includes all tips/taxes, but I don't think it does, you'd only be spending $30 more each for another bottle. It's also possible to find buy 1 get one free (especially on non-weekend/non-holiday days), which would be $220ish for 4 bottles.

Third, IMO the 40% you are referring to is the auto-tax (8%), auto-gratuity (20-22%), and live entertainment tax (10%) (not all venues have the LET). I dont think anyone is tipping 40% above that. I think at VIP hosts the rule of thumb is $50-$100 for the host per bottle in addition after the tax and auto-gratuity (as long as you feel you have gotten everything you were expecting table and deal wise).

I think your probably right in regards to the limo, only one of the seven guys hasn't been to Vegas before so for the rest of us, it would probably just be drinking in a car for an hour and I did enough of that in high school so the room or somewhere in the hotel should be fine for a pregame spot.
I would assume that the 7th person would also pay $189, and like you said taxes and tip are not included.
I'll present your options to the boys and see what they think!

Just by being on JackColton you've already moved a level above most offers you'll see like that. There seems to be a lot of fluff in that package. ie it's basically just a limo ride plus bottle service

I don't think that's really worth it, especially given the unnecessary add ons.

So 7 guys at $189/person is $1323

The limo is a great pregame option...I've done it...good times. You can get an 8 passenger limo from Presindential for 2 hours and it will be $170 plus tip. A $20 tip is fine. 2 hours gives you plenty of time for the limo to wait to pick you up, stop by the Vegas sign, and get you to your club. So figure $200 for the limo.

At Pure you can do a B1G1 with 2 bottles of Sky for $650. Tip your host $100 for good table and your at $750 all in.
So that's $950 for the exact same thing booking the limo and club yourself. The "VIP" company is taking about $400 in profit for your reservation.

Yes, ask Thomas about the specials, I think there's 3-4 different options for vodka deals from $395-695. I've done it recently a few tiimes, but make sure they're still doing it.
