Bottle service for 1 on a weeknight

Has anyone ever tried bottle service for one? Was it worth it? How did the night end up? Just in case I can't find a group, I might just try this out.

I've done it once at EBC when two friends bailed out last minute and I chose to go for it.
Ended up inviting a bachelorette party to join me and had a blast. But I feel like I was VERY lucky: I had a lily pad close to the center of the action; I had to turn back plenty of girls (and some guys) who were just trying to get a free table off of me. Finally I invited this small bachelorette party who had been hanging out nearby and hadn't been pushy in any way. They turned out to be super cool, they weren't trying to take advantage. I've done more body shots that one day than in the entire rest of my life. I never saw them again after that day (two years ago), but two of them sent me a picture from a NYE party they were at last week... I guess it was memorable enough for all of us.

All of that being said, I wouldn't actually plan on getting a table all on my own. If you feel like doing it at a club midweek, I'd hang out outside of the club and approach some girls there: if they don't have a table they might be happy to join. But it's a big risk - they might barely hang out with you and just do their own thing all night while drinking your booze.
You could in theory also get a "shredder": talk to your host about having a bouncer pick girls out of the line for you. Tell him your type and agree on a signal you'll use if the girls aren't cool and you would like a new batch. There is an added cost with this approach - probably a $200 tip for the shredder and something for the host. Consider that, being a weeknight, it is quite possible that the bouncer will simply find you some off-duty cocktail waitresses on their industry night. While this can potentially be fun and visually glamorous (the hottest girls in the club will be at your table, and your on duty waitresses will be super nice), you will have close to zero chance of scoring, the girls might be a little cold, and... you'll probably spend a fortune on drinks.

I'd do what Shamrock suggested or join a club crawl if you want to meet some people. The crawls are hit and miss if the people on it aren't fun but its easy to just ditch the crawl after you get into the club. Its a good value option with a low $ investment. LA Epic or Las Vegas Club Crawl (get a discount on Groupon) are two I've gone on multiple times and had great times at least half the time and only a couple complete duds.

I've never done a crawl before, but have done a table solo before. My experience is also it and miss. A lot of it depends on your personality, the atmosphere that night, etc. I tend to be pretty shy when solo. I've had some awesome nights when others came to me and my table and moved the party forward and I've had duds where I was a wallflower and no one was interested. Never regretted it though. Looked for a good deal (normally week day) and always had a good host connection.
