Contacting a host

How far in advance do you guys contact hosts to secure your tables?

I usually reach out 3-4 weeks in advance and then firm up a few days out.

I will typically reach out 1-2 weeks in advance (for non-holiday weekends).

I used to reach out about 3-4 weeks out. Then lock in a table 10-14 days out, and then confirm a few days from the date.
