i briefly stopped by Hakkasan on thursday got a walk thru tour with one of the hosts. Wasn't there that long and i have a table there sunday so i will give a better opinion when im acting like a tourist sunday. From the intial walk thru i liked the Main room. Thought it was smart set up and the Dj booth is in view of every table in main room - Unlike Marquee where you cant always see the Dj if you have a big ass pillar in front of you. The pavilion room ill have to get a better look at when i go there sunday. i think they have screens where you can see the Dj. Not sure if you can see him in first person from there i will check. The ling ling room was ok a little iffy on this room. It reminds me of a mini 1oak actually and when i walked in vice was playing house music so thought that was weird lol. Personally i would only want a table in the main room rather then the ling ling (hip hop room) The place is big and the upper bacloncy kinda reminded me of a haze feel to it. I thought the colors and decor was cool and its definitely got alot of stairs but still better then leaving marquee where you feel like your walking in a construction/hotel stairwell. Personally i liked it i wasn't Blown away but def. think its going to do well.

The industry is always going to judge and now that the 3 big companies (tao group, encore/wynn, light group) are all going to have mega clubs they are going to judge a bit harsher on hakkasan. I do hope they drop the pricing down because i feel as if they are a tad bit expensive but thats with every new club opening.

Ill have a better detail report sunday when i go there for my table

Thanks Chad, looking forward to your report. Are there tables on the balcony?
I hope prices come down a little too. Right now I'm priced out of everything but ling ling.

probably the best (and few) pic ive seen so far of the main room (looks amazing): http://www.usatoday.com/experience/l...-+Top+Stories)

cant tell if there an actual rooftop area. some early articles say yes (it has a pool or something?), some say no. would be awesome if it was a chill-out place/smoking area.

looking forward to checking it out on my next trip out west.
I heard just the opposite. I think the other day was for employees as I don't think they did an official industry soft opening. I'll give a detailed report shortly. It's a big club, but it makes you wonder what would happen if Marquee and LAx had a baby... oh... Hakkasan. The pavillion area I thought was a little weird, it's like a side room, you can't even see the DJ but it's sort of connected... The ling ling, is just like boom box, take a few flights down to get to. It's bigger than boom, but gives you the same exact vibe as boom. steps, steps, steps, yes... light show and LED, was not what I thought. XS shouldn't be too worried at all, as a matter of fact, I went to Tryst & Haze and Hakk last night (didn't make it to Tao), alll 3 were packed, but not uncomfortable. Trysts was surprisingly packed, sold out early. A lot of non AMG industry and locals were there last night and most thought it was cool but nothing really like wow.. Oh, lastly, I went GA and just walked around, wasn't bad at all, dancefloor was a little crowded, but that's it.
I'd be more inclined to believe this if you didnt have "Light" in your signature.
Go for your self, and re-read this post. I didn't say it was a bad club, but it was massively hyped, so my expectations were probably higher. And, personally I think the best club is still XS in terms of wow factor. I didn't get that with Hakk, Also, the pricing is funky, especially the pavillion which is equivalent to that side room at Marquee off the main, It's a nice looking room but you can't see the DJ or anything which is disappointing considering the min you're paying. I'll have a table there tonight so I'll have more of an idea. Ling ling room was nice, but I'm just not a fan of the clubs that have these separate room/ w different DJs.

Hey everyone! Just got back from Vegas and I was able to take some pics before it got packed so you could see. I loved the deco in the place very nice and probably best in Vegas. Now I don't know why ppl are complaining about the stairs...There are 3 elevators!!!!! And if you are in the Pavillion no you can NOT see the DJ. THe 5th floor has a good view of the main room and Pavillion but not a good place to have a table. But I notice that there was a VIP area hidden on each side. I want to give Thomas a big thanks for walking us, ladies, in Friday. Let see if I can post pics correctly.

This is the Ling Ling room. Sorry its on the best pic but I would agree its like the Boom Box room in Marquee

            linglounge.jpg
Ling Ling Lounge which is across the hall for the Ling ling room I like this room but nobody was in here, and the place was small. The nice thing is you can sit here without bottle service. The problem is the music could put you to sleep in here!!

Main room with the cool LED screen on the ceiling.

This is the Pavillion room looking down from the 5th floor.

Went to hakkasan last night for bingo players.... I dislike the levels but had a good time at the 4th level.... The wait wasn't so long with a handshake for a good price....it reminded me of a space ship!

I went there for Bingo Players as well since my girl won 5 free tickets. I was disappointed, to say the least, about the set up as it definitely caters to table patrons. The dance floor was very similar to Marquee and got extremely packed...the whole set up is like a slightly larger version of marquee. I had fun as it costed me nothing but unless I'm getting a table, I wouldn't want to return.

Here's my thoughts after going 2x, one GA one with a table...
This club had to be designed with Marquee in mind or larger version of the blueprints..
                  - Elevators up to enter
                  - Hip hop room 2-3 series of steps down
                  - Semi circle main rooom, with a side room (pavilion)
                  - Main room dark vs XS which is brighter in terms of lighting and decor

For tables here's what I felt. Loved the size of the booths/ tables!
-Main room dancefloor, first two tiers definitely in the action, not sure worth the mins they want but in the action
                  - Tables on 5th floor, bring your own crew type of tables, great view of the lower main room, but I got annoyed by the lights and other machines right in our faces, wish they were up higher and not in your direct view. Bar area behind tables had some flow,
-Pavilion - I wouldn't get a table here for the mins requested, can't see DJ, totally off to the side, cool decor, great looking place, but for the min they initially posted, you might as well get a DF table somewhere else and be in the mix
                  - Ling Ling- same feelings as Boom Box, why,.. when you can go to a large hip hop/open format club and get a DF table in the main room

                  Other thoughts...
                  - Great club to explore and go GA, get different experience, vibe, you can get lost in this place.
                  - I think it's missing something like the pool area at Marquee/XS/Surrender with the cool view and style, or some type of effects/ LEDs, whatever that we havent' seen before. Also that back wall I thought at Marquee just has something cooler about it than the display at Hakk.
                  - When you post mins like those for an opening of a club, your expectations are high. We've all seen those DJs so I was hoping to find that one feature/vibe you can't find anywhere else. That didn't mean I don't like the club. It's prob just too big of an "inside-only" club for me, I didn't find the outside patio or whatever (is there one?) Did like hanging out in the pavilion area a lot! Anywhoo.. that's my thoughts.. pics from main room and bar area main room. I wasn't a fan of the low ceiling where the bar area is in the back main room, see pic... Thanks for the review. May check it out this Saturday.

Judging from your review and the pics it does seem like it's missing that WOW factor. But competition is always good and hopefully mins/GA drop across the board

Yeah from the looks of it - I have Hakk planned during my visit, but may swap it in favor of Light if it has an outdoor patio area or Marquee instead. I'm a big fan of those areas to cool off and also mellow out before you go back in, something about enclosed clubs, idk, they are a dime a dozen.

I think Hakk is a great idea, but for its level of hype, dunno if it even came close to beating XS out, still the gold standard.

We went to Hakk this past Friday to check it out since my friends and I are Hardwell fans and thought since it was a grand opening it would be an awesome experience as well.

Overall, it was a big letdown. There were way too many tables and not enough space on the dance floor.

                          Some bad experiences:
                          1) The bouncer looking at my ID analyzed the crap out of it. I'm 25 and have had that ID ever since I can remember. He scoped out the ID for a good few minutes, then called over someone else to check it out again. After a good 5 minutes they finally gave me the ok.
                          2) The DJ equipment malfunctioned. For that to happen at a grand opening is pretty sad. Music was out for a couple minutes but Hardwell got back on and continued doing his thing.
                          3) Security came up to me at one point with a water bottle claiming I dropped something into the water bottle and asked me what it was. He was mistaken and I had to defend myself by saying I have no idea wtf he was talking about and that we can go review security tapes or anything to show that wasn't me if he wanted to. I don't remember what he said, but he left and I walked away. That was a real buzzkill as I got pretty paranoid after that, looking over my shoulder.

The only way I can see myself ever going back is if I get a table or Deadmau5 is spinning and I can't catch him at Wet Republic. It won't take Light too much effort to top this place.

                            Pretty rough experience tbh...
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."
