I have never been to Surrender, or Vegas! This is going to be my first trip down there. I'll try to avoid andreas patio but bottle minimums are high for mdw. If i do end up with a table far from the action and our group wants to leave the table for 1 hour or so to check out the dancefloor or what not, is the security going to make sure no one sits at our table and drink our booze? Also, is it allowed to smoke anywhere in the club or there are specific places for that?

Yes, security will take care of all your stuff. As stated earlier, it will be packed, so you won't necessarily be far from that "action." If you plan to chill at your table for a bit, and go to the dance floor later in the night for about an hour, it may be a little difficult to make your way through the crowd (considering how crowded it will be). I remember LDW at XS one year, they stopped letting people re enter the club because it was so packed.Originally posted by shawndescoteaux View PostI have never been to Surrender, or Vegas! The gaming pavilion is fine. I was in there last time but on the front edge as opposed to around the back. There's a massive obsession with 'seeing' the DJ...I'm not sure it's that important for a good night. There was foot traffic everywhere back then in June and given its MDW there will be even more. A good time will be had.

I would do the gaming pavilion over the cabana (unless I brought my own party, couples, etc.. ), and would never get Andreas patio. If it came to that I would go to another club.Isaac Kaz Curry

Can anybody comment on the 300s/500s just outside (e.g. 500-504, 511-515)?
Would you recommend them? Are they far from the action?

They're not as far as gaming pavillion, but not close either - it's MDW so they should have more traffic than usual. If that's all your budget can afford go for it. Personally tables 30-34 are my favourite and you can land them with a good handshake (must be discussed with a host in advance as this is MDW and there are only 4 of them).EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I also got a quote from Anthony K for a table at Surrender and some seating options at EBC for 14 girls. Ocam, since I am newer at this, what would be a good handshake to possibly negotiate price/location? I have read through all of the forums re: tipping, and know that it is common to tip $100/bottle, but wasn't sure if there was a recommendation beyond that for offering tipping.

I wouldn't necessarily say $100/bottle is common....that's more of a really good tip.Originally posted by k8ertot View PostI also got a quote from Anthony K for a table at Surrender and some seating options at EBC for 14 girls. A good tip would be $50/bottle.
But as always, tip on how good you felt your service was and how much you can afford to. If you're getting the absolute minimum with the worst table possible, it's really no point in tipping more than $50 IMHO.
If you're looking at working out/negotiating price/location on the other hand, consideration for that usually starts @$300...

I probably wouldn't start as high as $300. But you need to be upfront that you want those tables - since its MDW I would ask whether a minimum of $x plus a handshake of $200 "would be possible" to land the Surrender patio tables (table 30-34?). Then go upwards from there to a figure that you are comfortable with... $300 would be my maximum for sure, unless you were also getting a reduced minimum.Originally posted by ENC012E View PostI wouldn't necessarily say $100/bottle is common....that's more of a really good tip.Originally posted by k8ertot View PostI also got a quote from Anthony K for a table at Surrender and some seating options at EBC for 14 girls. We can only do $100 handshake, so not sure we will be able to snag one of 30-34. Will try and get 300, 515, something close to the doorwayOriginally posted by ocam View PostThey're not as far as gaming pavillion, but not close either - it's MDW so they should have more traffic than usual. Ive been on the tables at 511-515 and also a cabana on BS nights at Surrender. Kaz is right - the cabana's are LAME. Far too far away, we ended up leaving ours just to go mingle cos youre miles out. Dont go near these.
511-515 are better, right by the bar, so good traffic - i liked them there, but we had to grab girls of course, but thats all good.
The ones in the 30's would be perfect and i would 100% pay a few 100 bucks for those, they would be brilliant and bang in the action once it gets busy. Surrender is brilliant when busy, really is a top club.
