Hi, I'm coming to Vegas on 6th June celebrate my 40th birthday with 11 mates and am asking for some recommendations for clubs/bars that would be good for us, we range between 30-50 in age and are not hardcore clubbers. Is it imperative that we get bottle/table service as most of the group think it's expensive and don't drink spirits. Any ideas or help is much appreciated as I want to make this a great trip for all concerned. Thanks.

There's plenty of nightlife to enjoy even if you're not a 'hardcore' clubber. Many clubs offer areas that are more laid back than the main room. Examples would be the lounge at Tao, patios at Marquee, Pure, Tryst, Surrender, and XS. If you want to do bottle service, these areas of the clubs will also be less expensive for you. It's very common to see people between 30-50 in the clubs so don't worry about that.
Hyde is great option to try out a club atmosphere also. You can go early, like 8:00pm, have a few drinks and eat some small plates. It turns into a club at 10:30 and they'll allow you to stay inside so you don't have to navigate the line/doormen.
My favorite lounges are Mix, Ghostbar, and the casino level bars at Cosmo. I've had great times at all these places.
How many nights are you in town for?Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

what type of music/experience are you after? the regular community mostly talks about the clubs, but that's just scratching the surface - there's definitely something for everyone in vegas."...For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil.."

We are staying for 4 nights, Thurs thru to Mon when we head home. Are looking for a few beers, good laugh, bit of a dance and to have fun. I want to be able to cater for all the group over the weekend so any recommendations are welcome. Would people suggest using hosted entry into bars/clubs? In England door staff don't like groups turning up and I have read horror stories of 2hr queues, half of groups not getting in and so wanna avoid that especially on Fri or Sat eve.

Here's my 2 cents...
Thursday - MIX Lounge - you shouldn't have any problem getting in here. I went around 10:30 on a Thursday my last trip and we got right in. It will be pretty busy but not crazy, the drinks are reasonable for Vegas, the views are awesome, and the music will be good for everyone.
Friday - Hyde - Go around 8:30pm and get some food and drinks. You can get a couple tables by the fountains during lounge hours. You can stay when it turns into a club at 10:30pm without navigating the door. If you like it, you can hang out, if not then you can head over to Lilly in Bellagio or go over to Cosmo and kick around the casino bars.
Saturday - Dinner at Hakkasan around 7:30pm (book this early!). Party bus charter from Presidential for 2 hours after dinner. Cruise, drink, party, photos at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Have the driver drop you at The Mirage and have some drinks and a Hookah at Rhumbar. If some of you want to kick it up a bit, go to 1OAK at Mirage.
Sunday - XS - Bottle service if you like (outside table) or you can hang around the gambling area, dance a bit, drink, and take in the sightsLike all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
