Many times leaving XS we would walk over to the Wynn from Encore to catch a cab on that side, as the cab lines were usually shorter. Many times standing in the cab line I wondered where the crowd that was leaving Tryst fit into the Wynn model. I think when word made it back to Wynn that Tryst was perceived as a "budget" club, he said "shut it down".Originally posted by bigsi26 View Post
prob due to it be a lesser club and offering bottle deals, doesnt really fit with the wynn model, tryst was one of the best places for deals
This is not to say many of us did not have some good times there, just overall the demographic at Tryst was typically quite different than XS.

With xs being one of the top 2 clubs in vegas, the other clubs are going to look lesser, that doest mean tryst and surrender arent good venues or options, its just when you have 3 differnt options under 1 company, there deffently going to be a periceved pecking order of which club is better, thats why i think intrigue arent going after big name djs, as it would be stupid to compete against top nighlife businees,Originally posted by ponch62 View Post

I'm still not sure how a club can be "new" "different" "exciting" . I'm not in that customer service industry so I don't know what can and can't be provided.
Fundamentally, what are club goers looking for? Good looking crowd, good energy, ability to talk and connect with people.
In what ways can you create that and draw in the good looking people (ie people who are "popular and want to be at the best") in ways not already done in the XS club model?
I don't think visuals, whether they are different/exciting/etc, can be the main difference. You would have to drastically change the customer experience on a fundamental level in order to create the same draw without the big name dj type setup.
The new clubs don't want to compete with the larger clubs in the same way that everyone does (ie best dj, most exclusive, pricing, feeling like the best club, etc).
They need to compete on a completely different level. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
How could a club drastically change the way people interact at the club and make people think this is the "best" club for that type of experience. (not competing with other clubs on their playing field)
What if they did something to create/force customer interaction. Maybe go old school in a sense of when people used to go to parties, there would be games that forced you to interact with the other people at the party. You could choose how much you wanted to participate, but in the end, it gave people a reason to connect with one another.
With social media/internet access/apps, there has got to be a way to create something like that. maybe every night you can log into their app and there are games that you can play that force you to interact with people. Maybe do bottle giveaways for teams that complete certain "challenges". New ideas.
Just thinking outside the box. Something like that would be innovative. what is not innovative is putting dancers on platforms and having fireworks. that has all been done before. We, as customers, are looking for something different.

It's absolutely been done before, but currently the best pyrotechnics and performers are in Vegas's past, not it's present.Originally posted by ryan850 View PostJust thinking outside the box. Having giant blasts of fire right above me at Rain was what sold me on clubbing in Vegas in the first place. It was just such a ridiculous thing that there would be giant streams of fire and then a massive blast of cold air over and over, directly above you, that it was hard to not marvel at the excessiveness. XS Nightswim's pyrotechnics were a great addition last year, but they definitely aren't the same as what Rain had.
With regard to performers again Rain's aerialists, Ghostbar Dayclub's stiltist, Light's Cirque du Soleil performers, The Acts costumes and dance routines, and Rose. Rabbit. Lie.'s many talented performers.are all in our past. Marquee often has some really good go-go dancers, but other than that, every current club's dancers and performers are a poor imitation of what has previous been done.
I'm not saying good pyrotechnics or a particularly interesting set of performers would make this a completely new club concept, but those things done right would definitely play a role in my decision making on a night where DJ choice isn't the priority.
Interesting, serving pizza is a change I would welcome, I wonder how VIP do you have to be to get them to do that? I always thought clubs should have food available inside as to increase profit and keep people from leaving as early, but figured issues such as grease and cleanliness were the problems.preventing that plan. Either they decided those can be overcome or it's just another reason it's too bad we're not all models, lol.Originally posted by artedm View PostGigi Hadid Ended Her Birthday Week With an Epic Party in Las Vegas

The thing is bringing pizza to your table is old hat and not new at all. Rain's pyro seems impressive in retrospect because IT WAS RIGHT ABOVE YOUR HEAD. It was really a one trick pony that has been bettered since.
From their early press releases it appeared they were going to have rotating themes that spread over the whole club (visuals, dancers, waitresses, bus boys etc).maybe we were wrong or that fell through. Hopefully that comes to fruition, you just would think the one thing that could separate the space from the past would be ready from day one.Vegas trips

Marquee and Omnia already do this, and I'm sure any club would for a sufficiently important guest. Omnia has even dropped performers delivering pizza from the ceiling like they do champagne presentations.Originally posted by maxutilsperusd View PostInteresting, serving pizza is a change I would welcome, I wonder how VIP do you have to be to get them to do that? My understanding was this was more on the monthly scale, such as the club having a different theme and look in June vs. July. This was supposedly going to be done to help keep it fresh and new for repeat customers.Originally posted by ccc View PostFrom their early press releases it appeared they were going to have rotating themes that spread over the whole club (visuals, dancers, waitresses, bus boys etc).maybe we were wrong or that fell through. Interesting, haven't seen that at Marquee or Omnia, but at Marquee I'm always front center on the dance floor and Omnia I've only been once on a Tuesday.Originally posted by avseg View PostMarquee and Omnia already do this, and I'm sure any club would for a sufficiently important guest. Nice video! Besides themed dancers, I still don't see how this differs from a normal club.2016 MM, MDW, EDC, LDW, Oct (Lowrider), NYE
