Long story short. Need some advice

13 guys. Staying at Cosmo. In town for 3 nights.

Half the guys like EDM half the guys like hip-hop. All the guys like to party.

Friday Night Avicii - Marquee (might get a table in the boombox room for some hip-hop; will it be going on though with avicii spinning in the main room?)
Saturday Night Calvin Harris - Hakkasan (main room table)
Sunday Night - (need some suggestions, XS/Bank)

Also what is the best day to hit up the pool party? 13 guys so we need a cabana and are trying to save some money but want a halfway decent crowd. (EBC or MDC on Sunday? I know Aoki is at WR on sunday)

Don't do boom-box, there's nothing positive said about it on these forums! You could always try places like Tao and 1Oak which are more open format. Sunday Bank would be a decent option, would probably get a deal like b3g1.

Tao cabana on Fri/Sat if you're trying to save money and EBC on Sunday fo sho

I think this would be a money lineup for your dates:

Friday night - Avicii @ Marquee (don't do a boom box room table; instead, let the hiphop lovers go over there when they want. The crowd will be much better in the main room / outside). Contact Cliff Orr on 586.489.4531 for pricing info.

Saturday day - Calvin Harris @ WR (since I'm suggesting you see Axwell @ Light instead of CH @ Hakkasan that night. Get presales because a cabana/daybed/etc isn't as essential at WR as other places. This will also keep your costs down)

Saturday night - Axwell / Hook N Sling @ Light (opening weekend, so Light will be shit hot and packed with honeys). Contact Noah Ortiz on 323.919.6529 for pricing info.

Sunday day - Eric Prydz @ Encore Beach Club (this guy is the business and EBC is currently the best spot on Sunday. Get a cabana/bungalow for a group of that size and you will have the time of your life). Contact Anthony Khotsikian on 702.238.6186 for pricing.

Sunday night - Laidback Luke @ Hakkasan (plays EDM, but it is infused with old school/ hiphop edits/cuts). Contact Thomas Gorman on 702.340.6498 for pricing.

This gives you a mix of Marquee, Hakk, Light, WR and EBC.

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Thanks everyone for all the info. At Marquee if we get a table outside (if main room doesn't work out), what is that like? Is there a good crowd? Do you hear the main room music (i.e. Avicii for fri night).

Want to def check out Light and EBC, now. This weekend cant come fast enough.

Outside at Marquee you'll get the main room music and they have a screen displaying the DJ inside. Good crowd too...will be packed for Avicii
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Awesome thanks. May opt for an outside table @ Marquee to save some money.

Any other tips, tricks and insight would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Thanks you for the info. One last ?. What's the afterhours situation looking like these days. I know Drais is closed or has it relocated or opened back up? Are there other alternatives? Or do you just gamble until the pool party starts? LOL

Body English is the main afterhours now.

You guys are life savers. Thanks for all the info. I hate to keep asking questions but planning this out for 13 guys is stressful. So at EBC we are thinking a 2nd floor cabana (ocam - 'get a cabana and you will have the time of your life'). Will we still have the time of our lives even with a 2nd floor cabana?

I just did some sleuthing for you and got these prices for that date:

$4,000 min first floor cabana (roughly $5,850 all-in, or $450 per person)
$2,500 min second floor cabana (roughly $3,705 all-in, or $285 per person)
$10,000 min first floor bungalow (roughly $14,430 all in, or $1110 per person)
$4,000 min second floor bungalow (roughly $5,850 all-in, or $450 per person)

The all-in prices were calculated on a basis of 8% sales tax, 20% auto gratuity, 15% host tip, $100 security tip, $30 busboy tip.

It ultimately depends on your budget. A second floor cabana will work out cheaper than 2 daybeds, and the 1st floor cabana/2nd floor bungalow might still be cheaper than 2 daybeds.

You can still have a great time with a 2nd floor cabana, but you will need to be a bit more proactive - i.e. bring girls up, or get security to do it for you (which they will do if you tip them). This is because you don't get the same foot traffic obviously as you would on the ground floor.

Based on those prices, if you can only do the $285, then get the second floor cabana. If you can stretch to $450 per person, I'd probably go the 1st floor cabana route (your host tip should land you one close to the middle) over the bungalows.

Anyone else care to comment on 2nd floor bungalow vs ground floor cabana?

Good lineup, an expensive one, but definitely hitting all the hot spots.
