Hi

We are arriving from London on Weds 13th Apr, we are a group of 9 (male) out to party on a joint stag. We have made provisional bookings directly with the Host for the following:

Weds 13th arriving late afternoon, nothing planned...probably hit casino and see where the night takes us.
Thurs 14th - booked Tao Beach club $2000 min spend plus tax/grats
Friday 15th - looking to book Hakassan night club, been offered table on level 4 (mezzanine) $2500 min spend plus tax/grats
Sat 16th - booked Drains night club $3000 min spend plus tax/grats in either north/south elevated booth's.

Is this a decent plan? also slightly concerned with table/location, does anybody if these tables are any good for the money? Are we obliged to accept a table if we are not happy with the location? We have not paid any deposit upfront.

You're min for Tao seems EXTREMELY high, especially given its a thurs. I'd think you could get it for half that or even less.

While that's generally true for most venues like XS, Omnia, EBC, Wet Republic, etc. Tao Beach has a hard time selling all their daybeds and cabanas so they are much more likely to offer reduced minimums closer to the date. So while contacting a host early for most other venues is the best way to get the best price and location, for Tao Beach and similarly undersold venues like Foxtail Pool you should still contact a host but you have the ability to negotiate a lower minimum spend than what they potentially quote you.

On a Thursday you shouldn't see anything offered at a $2000 minimum spend at all. Looking online for April 14th their Grand Cabana, the best location they offer, only has a $1500 minimum spend and allows for 15 people to enter, so I don't know where that host came up with $2000 for 9 guys. For this kind of venue the online price should be treated as the worst case scenario price, meaning a host typically should offer a minimum lower than posted online. I would think on a Thursday there's a good chance you could even negotiate that $1500 down to $1000 or less but again that's based on demand so I can't guarantee that.

for example if you get $1000 at tao beach and bottles are 500 each
is two bottles going to last from 11am-5pm? or are drinking beer?

Hakkasan for that day listing $1500 side mezzanine or $2000 prime mezzanine
Drais elevated dance floor for $2500- but drais has no talent listed-special guest- so hard to say

Yes that is right, I just saw on the website. We may cancel that booking and look at a alternative venue. We have 5 rooms booked at Venetian.

Will only be drinking bottles so between 8 drinkers out of 9 will need to go through 4 bottles but we still want a good located table...Drais told me their special guest line ups are usually same calibre as Chris Brown, TI etc

Pool parties aren't really much of a thing on Thursdays. Prime pool party days are Saturday and Sunday since most people in Vegas are there from California and other US states for the weekend, arriving Friday night since most people get Saturday and Sunday off. Friday is pretty hit or miss with regard to pool parties, with only EBC having a consistent crowd.

I'd suggest scrapping your plan of a Thursday pool party and spending Thursday at the Palazzo pool, and possibly Tao Beach which is located right next to the Palazzo pool if the cover charge is $10 or less. Then use that $2000 you were going to spend on Thursday, possibly add a bit more to it, and book something at EBC on Friday, or something on Saturday or Sunday at EBC, Wet Republic, Marquee Dayclub., or Drai's.

Thurs- Liquid is the probably the main pool along with Tao, and 2k is pretty high even for a cabana.
Fri- Hakk 2500 mezz.. meh.... not a good spot really, I think Hakk is prime table or bust for the most part
Sat- Drais, I don't know about that. You have a lot of options...

I'd personally get the mins lower Thurs and Friday , get a pool party in there on Saturday. If you don't do a pool party on a Saturday you're really not gonna see one the way it should be. Fri and Sat the clubs are the same but I think Saturday and Sunday are the best days for the pool parties. Thurs do 1k somewhere, Fri, do 1500 somewhere. Sat do a pol 1500-2k, Sat night just wing it, see how you feel after pool . If you have juice for just 1 big club look at maybe Omnia or XS.

Kaz's advice is perfect. The exact spend plan I have when I come to Vegas Thursday June 2nd to Sunday June 5th with a group of 9 as well. Budget we have is $9k all in for 2 clubs and pool.

I would nix Thursday and definitely get a pool party in the rotation for Saturday. I would suggest EBC Saturday but go pre sale tix as the pricing for Guetta will be crazy. He draws the talent. IMHO it's the best pool for pre sale when it comes to drink service.

Allows you to mix it up and see the best of both worlds Vegas has to offer in regards to clubs and pools.

Agree with the above, put that thursday money towards friday/weekend.

Also, noticed you got 5 rooms at the venetian for 9 people. Which rooms did you get? You could save a lot of money by going with 2 bella suits (2 queen beds each room). Those rooms easily sleep 6 since they have a pull out couch. However, if each person wants their own bed then that's a different story.
