  • Bachelor Party Aug 4th to Aug 7th - Need Advice

As the Title suggests, i have my bachelor party this year from Aug 4th to Aug 7th and i was looking at getting some advice on Hotels, Day Clubs, Night Clubs and Strip Clubs

    Number of people: ~15

Budget: ~$2.5- 3k per person (including flight and stuff) so about ($37500 - $45000)

Hotel Choices: Aria 2 bedroom penthouse suite, Mgm Marquee suite, Cosmo 2 bedroom wrap around terrace suite. (Hoping to fit about 6 if not 7 in a room with rollaway beds and what not) Looking to fit this in $400 per person for 3 nights.

Day Club - Need a cabana/bungalow (Hoping to fit this in $400 per person with tax, gratuity, tip to the host etc) Recommendations?

Night Club - Need a table. (Hoping to fit this in $500-$700 per person with tax, gratuity, tip to the host etc) Recommendations?

Strip Club - Bottle service is not a necessity but will want to fit this in another $200-$300 Max per person. Recommendations?

    Flight: ~$500 per person

That being said, i am looking to see if anyone has any suggestions and if the amounts listed above are realistic for the trip.

Background: I have been to Vegas 3 times, stayed at the cosmo twice, got a table at lavo once and tao once. Both the times the hosts were from here and they took good care of me.
But i have never been to Vegas with a group this big and this time its my bachelor party, so want to make sure everything goes smooth.

    Also

Restaurants: Havent done any research on this, so any recommendations?

Activity: Any options? I dont feel its worth it to spend 500 dollars to drive a ferrari for 5 laps. What else can we do?

Plan: The plan is to land in vegas on Thursday, checkin and then relax/gamble. Then i was thinking strip club in the evening/night and if people feel like it, head out to a club with general admission tickets.
Friday: Wake up and go to the day party that we selected. Friday night post the day party i figured we could eat a good dinner and then have an after party in the suite or go gamble if that is what people want.
Saturday: Wake up, relax or go for the Activity that we pick (if we pick one). Saturday night get a table at one of the night clubs.
    Sunday: Return.

I know this is early, but i like to have things locked down before hand so that i dont have to stress about things last minute. So any input positive or negative is welcome!

    Thanks in advance.

    A couple of thoughts.

Hotel: Have you looked into the bella suites at pal/ven (where you at kp? lol). You can easily fit 6 people in those rooms and you can get them for about $1000 all in inc tax/resort fees for 3 nights (166/person, you can save a ton on room and put it towards fun stuff). I've stayed there 3 times and it's usually my go to for groups that size.

Day Club: If you're only doing one day party, EBC hands down. you might be able to get 2 daybeds. It depends on what min's you can negotiate. If you can get them for a 2400 min, you're looking at 3072 with tax/tip for 1. for 2 it would be 6144 then you have to factor in the shake which you'd prob be a min of 6-700 if not more if you're trying to get a lower min in a good spot. I would figure 7k total for 2 daybeds would be a good estimate.

Night Club: I'm not as familiar with table pricing for Omnia but I know those prices are pretty high, although you've factored in a pretty high budget so it might be doable. XS has always been my go to favorite club, and the prices are a little less than Omnia, so that would be my recommendation. You shouldn't have a problem getting a decent table with that budget.

Strip Club: that budget will be fine if you aren't getting a bunch of private dances. Spearmint Rhino tends to be the spot recommended over Sapphire, however OG Garden's gets a lot of love as well and they are a little more "open" to different things. You might get more bang for your buck at OG.

    A couple of additional thoughts:

I did the exotic racing and I thought it was an awesome time. It was worth it for me. But i'm into stuff like that. If you're not super into that kind of thing, then the 600 probably isn't worth it.

Why are you only planning one night club and one day club? You're in Vegas, I'd recommend at least doing a club friday night too. The clubs in Vegas are the best in the world, you can gamble and go to strip clubs anywhere.

One last thing, ever thought about going friday-monday instead of what you have planned? After going to vegas several times thurs-sunday and then finally doing a friday-monday, friday-monday is hands down better. The parties on sunday are so much better than the parties on thursday. XS Nightswim on sunday nights is probably one of the best parties you'll go to.

I would do friday night: dinner, strip club since it sounds like you want to do both. I'd split up bottle service for day and night because you'll most likely drink quite a bit during the day you have bs and might be more difficult getting out that night. I'd probably do BS saturday night and sunday day, with presale sunday night at nightswim. For sat night, you could do presale if you're up to going out that night too.

Those are my thoughts. Others can chime in on restaurants and other things. You'll have fun regardless. It's Vegas afterall.

I would look into booking non casinos too like Vdara, Elara, Marriott Grand Chateau... Vdara Deluxe Suites are on Priceline Express Deals alot as a 5 star hotel, south strip, Pet Friendly, etc....I'm gonna say 100% of the time its Vdara...

For some people a really nice hotel is important to them. Personally for me I prefer to save a bit on the hotel and use that money elsewhere (like ryan and roxie suggest). You end up spending very little time in the room. In addition to the suggestions about you can look into Elara as well (connected to Planet Hollywood). They have big 2 bedroom suites as well that could easily sleep a bunch of guys, have good views, etc.

First off Thanks for the suggestions.

I will look into some other options for rooms to see if i can save.

The only reason we were doing only one day club and one night club was cause last time i did a da party in vegas, i was dead by the time i made it to the night club the same day.

The XS night swim is something i had never heard of, so will definitely consider a Friday to Monday trip if need be.

As far as taxes and gratuity and tipping the host goes, what are the norms? If suppose there is a 3k minimum for bottle service, what % should i expect the gratuity/tax to be on top of that 3k and what is considered a good tip to the host?

Also i figured cabanas/bungalows will be better than day beds for a group of 15 guys. The day beds from my experience are pretty small at most of the day clubs.

Also What is a good time to go to stripclubs? Are they still busy in the evenings or afternoons? I will look into OG garden, i dont quite understand what you mean by they are "open" to different things. You can PM if posting about it here is not allowed. I saw a few pics on yelp, male strippers?? I hope i dont walk into a scene from Magic mike

            welcome
            Vegas has so many attractions
Its worth pointing out you can do vegas cheap or you can spend a ton of cash.
            For example
food: mcdonalds vs really really nice places
            nightclubs/pool parties: tickets vs tables
hotels: cheap or really really high end
            transportation: city bus vs limos

For a large group I would make a rough schedule with an idea of cost- as people might drop off
All strip clubs do free limo/free entry and are 24/7 most have bottle specials during certain hours
For nightclubs/pool parties its worth asking about bottle prices and tax/tip which can run up to 40%
Also Sunday-Thursday your more likely to get bottle specials at nightclubs.
would try to hit as many of the pool parties and nightclubs in the schedule as possible work the other activities around them

Sounds like your on the right track.

When doing day parties big, sometimes it does happen that people drop off at night. That's why I would suggest splitting up BS for the day and the night and do presale for the other parties.

Regarding a cabana at a day club. With that budget, you're most likely looking at an upper cabana. And IMO, 2 daybeds are far superior to an upper cabana even though it's a smaller plot of real estate. upper cabana's are so far away from the action and it really just becomes a spot to hang out and chill before going back into the party. personally, I'm not spending 500 to have a place to chill, that can be done in the room. I've done an upper cabana in the past and that was my take on it anyway.

Tax/tip will be 28% at all the of the venues i believe because they did away with the entertainment tax.

For a shake, expect 4-500ish. If you're getting 2 booths, maybe tip a little extra to make sure you get a good location and possibly a lower min spend.

For strip clubs, I've personally had better experiences during the day when it is less crowded. You get more attention from the girls and it's a more laid back vibe, the girls don't tend to be "working" so hard for your money. The "open" comment meant the girls are willing to be a little more forward if you get private dances at the OG vs at the Rhino.

                what's more important to you?
you gonna be staying in your room a lot?
you want a top tier table at a nightclub?

if you're looking to drop a ton of money of money on a hotel room: MGM mansion or skylofts, mirage villas, aria sky suites, hotel 32 penthouses might be in your price range: about 3-8k per night depending on what you choose.

If you are looking to do a really awesome table at a nightclub, having a stage table is a pretty cool experience. They have them at drais, xs, light, hakkasan (jus to name a few).

As far as daylife goes, the cabanas/bungalows at EBC are among my favorite.

I don't really care for strip clubs, so that's out of my area of knowledge

                Hope this helps a little.

As everyone else is suggesting, maybe Fri- Mon is better? I've been every year in the summer for the past 7 years... every year, we stay a little longer... mostly because Nightswim at XS is not to be missed. At this point, we do Wed-Tues... There are good deals on Thurs.... but the earlier you arrive, and the heavier you party, the more likely you and your crew will tap out. Vegas is a marathon, not a sprint.

That being said... Friday dayclubs in my experience are more laid back.. people are arriving, and many of them later into the evening so they miss daytime activities. Sat/Sun is when everyone is out... Saturday more than Sunday, because there are always those poor souls who go home Sunday and miss Sunday Funday. If you can get your group to reconsider, Nightswim is a complete blast, and is much more relaxed- you can chill in your board shorts as opposed to getting all dressed up in your club wear... and you get to see chicks in their bikinis... at night... and its warm... it is glorious.

I think as far as "other activities", that is really a personal decision, because you are the bachelor, and your friends are there for you. So if you want to go shooting, or racing, or whatever, DO IT. You only live once, and there is no time like the present.

I have no advice regarding strip clubs, because although I am not anti-stripclub, I have just never had the time. I DO recommend STK in Cosmo for dinner. It is a great place and I had a phenomenal meal there. Also, Cosmo is beautiful and smells amazing.

As far as hotel, regarding MGM... It's not as nice as say, WYNN, but it does offer plenty to eat in ALL price ranges... there is a food court for a quick bite, and really nice places if you are into that... I had a pretty good sushi dinner at Shibuya, and it wasn't expensive (Vegas wise). The advantage of MGM is that their hotel pools are a pretty good party location, even if you don't go to WET Republic... the Lazy river is full of party people from Thurs-Sun, so if you want to save some cash and head to the lazy river on Friday VS a dayclub, I've done that, and it was still a good time.

If you want a good Dayclub experience, hands down, EBC is the best of the best of the best. It would be worth it to spend a day at the lazy river to save your funds for an epic location at EBC on Saturday. At the end of the day, I think you should do what you want and have a blast. I have made the mistake of skipping out on events because my crew tapped out... and it still haunts me. LOL If you have an ounce of charm and a few bucks, you can go anywhere you want, even if you have no tables... (ie, if you find yourself the last man standing, don't waste a day not going out if you want to... there are so many people who you can find to hang out with who just want to have a good time... and in my experience, "Vegas" people in Vegas take care of each other, and it's impossible not to have a great time and make friends) Half the fun is seeing where the day takes you... So have a general "plan", but make room for the inevitable tappouts, drunk escapades and derailments that make Vegas... Vegas.

Cheers, Mate. Have a great time. And congrats on gettin' hitched!

I have no idea what stage tables are lol.

And i did look into the 2 bedroom skyloft, i felt like those are too much. I dont want to spend that much on a room. For example a 2 bedroom skyloft for 3 nights was coming to 7-8k vs a 2 bedroom cosmo terrace suite which was around 3k.

And yes EBC cabanas/bungalows are what i want or prefer. Lower cabanas

Thanks a ton for the input. I honestly had no clue about the XS night swim party till i started this thread. I will definitely consider Friday to Monday. Quick question on that, doesn anyone get bottles for that party or will GA be fine?

I have stayed at the Cosmo twice and i love that place, but never had food at STK. I have had the cosmo Buffet but now i hear Aria buffet is better? So i will look into these and yes it is my Bachelor party so i guess i have the right to be a little selfish and do what i want lol. I did look into activities, the only reason i wasnt so keen on doing the car racing activity was cause i have done similar stuff out here in chicago. What other group activites do people do in vegas?

If i do Friday to Monday,

I might consider Bottles at a club Friday Night
Day club cabana/bungalow Saturday during the day
GA day club on sunday or GA night club on sat (confused)
GA night swim on Sunday night

And if there is time, squeeze in a strip club visit. I am not too big on strip clubs, so it is not that high up on the priority list to be quite frank.

I would say skip the strip clubs since it'll just be a hassle finding time to go and getting everyone there. There are strip clubs everywhere, no need to spend valuable vegas time at one.

I'm torn on when to get BS for you guys. I'd like to hear others opinions.

I'd probably prefer BS Saturday night and Sunday day, But you could always do Friday night and Saturday day. But you're all getting in on Friday so I'm not sure if you want to go that hard on the day everyone gets in.

Although, getting BS right away would start the party off right.

                          So to recap
                          Fri night: BS at club
Sat day: presale club/hang out at the hotel pool
Sat night: Dinner and presale at club or strip club
                          Sunday day: Cabana at EBC
                          Sunday night: nightswim

What does the rest of JC think about that option?

Although, getting BS right away would start the party off right.

                            So to recap
                            Fri night: BS at club
Sat day: presale club/hang out at the hotel pool
Sat night: Dinner and presale at club or strip club
                            Sunday day: Cabana at EBC
                            Sunday night: nightswim

What does the rest of JC think about that option?

yup that is why i am confused too lol

So we have 12 confirmed people

Any recommended host for BS at Omnia/Marquee/Jewel/Hakkasan for Friday Aug 5th? Thinking of doing one of those, whichever offers the best deal

                              and

then a Bungalow or cabanna at Wetrepublic/EBC on Aug 6th Saturday. Any recommeded hosts for these would be good to know.

Need to know the exact pricing i will be looking at to make a decision as soon as possible.

                              Thanks in advance
