  • Planning my bro's Bachelor Party 5/17 & 18 - Suggestions needed!

    Hey guys,

Looking for general help and suggestions -

I'll be in town May 17&18 for my brother's bachelor party and I'm looking for suggestions on nightlife events for those dates. Potentially table/bottle service for 10 guys, depending on the price. Budget is probably $2K+/- so I don't know if it's even a possibility to finds something decent at that rate. Would love to hear of/from any hosts who'd want to talk.

Also if anyone can point me to a general 'event calendar' that compiles dj's/events that would be great. Seems difficult to find a comprehensive one.

    Thanks in advance!

    I mostly use wantickets.com
I find they update the events faster than the official sites of the club.
Just search for the spot your interested in, XS & Marquee have posted talent for those dates already.

After you choose where you want to go, contact a host from the list below.

That's a calendar that is (pretty) accurate. It says you have A&B at XS, Dillon Francis @ Surrender and Gareth Emery @ Marquee on Friday 17 May and Dirty South @ XS, Diplo @ Surrender and Kaskade @ Marquee on Saturday 18 May.

Your budget is a bit light for the Tier 1s that will be open then (Hakkasan, Light, XS, Marquee). Do you want EDM or are you flexible on music choice?

To keep your budget down, you could get a patio (outside) table for 6 people which should hopefully come with a min of $1k, which equals around $1,500 all-in ($1000 min + 80 tax + 200 grat + ~75 security tip + ~25 busboy tip + ~$120 host tip [add 100 more at Marquee, Hakkasan for Live Entertainment Tax]). Add 4 more presale tickets @ $60 per person = 240 so you are roughly at $1750.

The tips suggested are mid-range, so if you could push your budget to $2000, I'd up the host tip (to see if it can land you a great location) and then also add a little more for security (always good to have them onside and working hard for you).

This will give you a table with room for 6 -- though when will all 10 of you really be at the table? There are always a few people at any one time walking around / in the bathroom / on the dancefloor / chatting to girls etc. But it will be tight at the table, especially if you wanted to bring girls back.

If you could land a table for 8-10 on a minimum of $1.5k outside, it should bring you to an all-in price of around $2,200, though I'd expect your min to be $2k taking you to around $2,800 all in.

If table size/location is more important to you than the music and "status" of a club, then I'd suggest 1OAK, Tryst or Tao (which will be open format rather than pure EDM).

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Honestly, I'd tell everyone to pitch in about $300-$350 and take your budget closer to $3k. Consider the alternative. Wait in line for a LONG time with that many guys, pay $50 cover, then buy drinks at a bar for $20 a pop. When it's all said and done, it wouldn't cost much more per person and I think you'll have a hard time getting getting all in for $2k with that size group at a decent club. Just my $.02.
