Borderline IMO...did you book presale tickets or bottle service?
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

If you're not doing bottle service then you better play it safe and get some dress shoes.
Your best bet is to wear a nice collared shirt like this...

          Some nice denim like this...
          diesel_jeans01.jpg

          And some shoes like this...

Brands don't really matter. Whatever you have that is similar or that you can buy that fits your budget.

Drinks in the club are pretty expensive. Plan on about $15/drink including a tip for your bar tender. The pregame is key...

first thing they look at is your shoes so make sure they're dressy. I'd stay away from those dress shoes that look like tennis shoes (laces) too. I love my loafers with jeans. they're the only kind of dress shoes I own. never had any issues.

just dress like you're going to a proper club as opposed to the students union and you'll be fine bud. proper shoes are a must if you've not got a table to avoid the risk of getting turned away

Stylish V Neck and Blazer with good jeans and dress shoes should be fine IMO.

A STYLISH Polo (not generic polo) will work if everything else is up to par.

Think of it like you've got several components:
                    Appearance (hair/face)
                    Shirt
                    Jeans/Pants
                    Shoes
                    Intangibles / Vibe

If you're slippin on the shoes (ie Vans or somesuch) everything else better be way above "acceptable". If you're trying to get by with a borderline shirt... best be making up for it everywhere else.

Look.. this is las vegas. I'm a guy who wears khaki shorts, sanuk sandals and a t shirt around all summer long but when I go to vegas I dress up. It's Vegas. Chances are your vacation is running you thousands of dollars once you factor everything in... how hard is it to cobble together an extra couple hundred bucks to look sharp? When you dress good, you feel good. When you feel good you are going to have a LOT more fun...

                    Don't half-ass it fellas!

And yes... normal size drinks were $14ea at Hakkasan this past Thursday. Comparable at Light this past July. Expect $10 per beer. Tip your bartender at least a buck a drink if you want them to come back to you the next time you walk up.

No dice for general admission IMO, but I'm not a doorman.

What would you wear if a mate was getting married?

A lot of these "what can I wear" threads revolve around "what's the minimum requirement". When it comes to clothes, I get that - I really do (I went for an 8 year stretch where I refused to wear a tie..ever). But you have to remember: las vegas is the absolute opposite of "what's the minimum requirement".

Most people spend $15 a drink and $100 presale not because the drinks are better or because they get to see DIPLO - it's for the experience of glitz, glamor and XS (lol see what i did there?).

Anyway, my point is this: The best mentality for a nightclub isn't "what's the minimum" but more about spending way too much to drink way too much in a nightclub that stays open way too long with way to many gorgeous people. If you go balls to the wall in every aspect, including clothing, you'll have a better time.

Holy shit, two weeks in Vegas, I'd die.

I'm going to say no to how you're dressed, even if it might work. You look like you're off for a night out at Doncaster Students Union. This is Vegas, you're going to a club filled with some of the hottest girls in the world, you should at least try to make an effort.

See below for more what you should be aiming for. This is pretty much Vegas uniform for guys, ie not very imaginative but is safe and looks decent. (But button the shirt up a bit more, lose the undershirt, and get some less fuck-ugly shoes. Brown is always a good option with jeans, rather than black.) Dress shoes are important btw as you won't get in with sneakers.

Hope that helps, any questions just ask.

EDIT: Just realised this thread is months old, oops. Oh well, the advice still stands for anyone else reading this.

Asked this on another thread too but will post here also, I plan on wearing my Kilt on the 31st with dress shirt and my CAT's(theyre not scruffy and not used for work I keep them for going out and are common footwear in clubs here in the UK) Will I have any problems getting into Hakkasan? Should say, we have booked pre sale tickets and Im going with 3 other guys.

My honest opinion is that the jeans aren't dark enough and DONT EVER WEAR SQUARE TOE SHOES. EVER.
