  • 4 lads - May 4th Mayweather fight weekend, pool/club idea's?

Hi, I'm looking for some idea's on pool parties and clubs to go too. Prefer Trance/house/techno over rnb, top40 etc
We have already got tickets to see Mayweather on the Saturday.

    Plan so far, (can change)

Friday 3rd – In the day – Ideally want to go see the Mayweather weigh-in
    At night – ??

Saturday 4th – In the day – Pool Party @ Encore Beach Club, Wynn hotel – Steve Angello
At night – Mayweather vs Gurerro!!!!
Then - Calvin Harris @ Hakkasan, MGM Grand hotel (tickets are $85/each)

Sunday 5th – In the day – Pool Party @ Encore Beach Club, Wynn hotel – Avicii or @ Wet Republic, MGM Grand – last year’s resident DJ was David Guetta but it’s not been confirmed who is there for this one. Any idea's when this will be announced?
At night - Tiesto @ Hakkasan MGM Grand hotel (tickets are $85/each)

    Monday??!!

Also, we are considering looking at getting bottle service/table/anything at a pool party. I don't really know anything about prices, what you get, who to contact etc so help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Mate, surprised no-one has responded to this.

Feedback on your plan is as follows:

    Friday night
Since you want to see Steve Angello at EBC the next day, then there's no point seeing him at XS. Since you want to see Tiesto on Sunday night, then that rules Hakkasan out too.

I suggest you go to Light @ Mandalay Bay (the newest club to LV along with Hakkasan). If you are getting a table, hit up Noah Ortiz on 323.919.6529 (he has WhatsApp so you can message him on that from the UK; or PM "NoahRam" on these forums). No word yet on who the DJ is, but based on Light's residents you will probably like whoever is scheduled. Also, it would be good to check out a different nightclub, since it looks like you want to go to Hakkasan both Sat and Sun nights.

    Saturday
If you read below, I've said that if you can't get into Calvin Harris @ Hakkasan on Saturday night that you should do Avicii at XS that night instead.

    So:
-if you can get into CH @ Hakk, then on Saturday, do Wet Republic or Armin van Buuren @ Marquee Dayclub [and do Avicii @ EBC on Sunday]. I think it's better to get a mix of pools than to do EBC both Saturday and Sunday.
-if you can't get into CH @ Hakk (and therefore end up doing Avicii @ XS), then stick with your plan of Steve Angello @ EBC [and do Wet Republic or Kaskade @ Marquee Dayclub on Sunday].

There's no need to get tables at Wet Republic if your budget doesn't stretch that far, because most of the action is in and around the pools. At EBC, a lilypad or beach couch will be your best bet for your group.

For Saturday night, I see that in another thread you've said that presales to Calvin Harris are sold out. I imagine you'll be getting to the club late after the fight, so that puts you in a dangerous position. The only way you will get in quickly is if you arrange a hosted walk-in / line skip from Thomas Gorman (702.340.6498). I would tip him (at least) $50 per person (a) given how popular Hakkasan will probably be that night, (b) since you'll be getting there late, and (c) since you're a group of all guys. I'd get onto him ASAP to see whether he is actually able/willing to do a walk-in for you and if so, what time you need to be there (and if you can make it by that time).

If you can't get a walk-in, then don't waste your time going to Hakk after the fight. The line will be a shit fight and it'll sour your night. Instead, I would do Avicii @ XS -- and buy presales.
I wouldn't do Kaskade @ Marquee because I think Marquee will be your best option on Monday night.

    Sunday
    As I said above:
-if you see CH @ Hakk and did WR/MDC on Saturday, then do Avicii @ EBC on Sunday
-if you didn't see CH @ Hakk (and saw Avicii @ XS), then check out WR or Kaskade @ MDC.

To book a lily pad or beach couch at EBC, contact Anthony Khotsikian 702.238.6186.

Tiesto @ Hakkasan sounds good -- just get presales now before they sell out like Calvin.

    Monday
The best pool party on Monday is Bare @ Mirage.

The Tier 1 places that will be open on Monday night are XS (Lil Jon) and Marquee. Lil Jon annoys me, so maybe just wait to see who Marquee announces.

Sorry that my post above is a bit confusing and convoluted -- but I'm just trying to suggest a mix of locations and artists.

Thanks for the help ocam! I've never been to a fight before in Vegas so any idea what time it will finish? As for the hosted walk in, will that be tip for him then pay to get in as well? I hope I don't sound too naive but Vegas is a whole different ball game so don't want to p!ss anyone off that I shouldn't, especially when he is helping us get in there!
I'm in the UK, can I PM Thomas Gorman, email him??!!
I have now bought tickets for Tiesto on Sunday so that night is all set.
As for the Saturday night, if can't sort CH @ Hak, then is it feasable we can get in to Avicii, any idea on last entry with pre sale tickets?
        Thanks again

I'll be at the fight too (and MDC Saturday day for that matter). Regarding the fight, the deal in Vegas is they won't start the main event before 8 (so all the one fight high rollers don't miss the only fight they go to), but usually 8:30-9 is a solid time to expect the main event. So assuming an 8:30 start to the main event festivities, you can expect it to be around 10 when you get out of the fight. It's going to be impossible to get out of the MGM with any kind of quickness. Mayweather/Hatton the cab line took me something like 2 hours.

yes the cab lines after big fights suck. I tried to be slick one time and cut across the street and get a cab from the tropicana. line was long too haha. maybe I should have tried Hooters.

                  Tickets for Avicii: http://wantickets.com/Events/125001/...-XS-Las-Vegas/

                  Around $63 including booking fee.

You might be able to get Thomas Gorman on WhatsApp as well if you plug his number in (though I'm not 100% sure on that)

Cheers guys! Once again, fantastic info! I didn't even think about the taxi que. How far is the Wynn from MGM? Is it walkable?
I have just bought tickets for Avicii, any idea what time last entry with the tickets will be? Or que time etc?

MGM > Wynn is a very long walk....wouldn't recommend that as a great option. Just guessing it could take an hour and a toll on your legs / feet.

One option may be to take the monorail from MGM to Harrah's and walk from there. I think the last time I stayed at Flamingo (next to Harrah's) it took about 20 - 30 min to walk to Wynn, but could be better than standing in a cab line for an hr then sitting on traffic.

Does the monorail go to there? Or at least most of the way? Just trying to think of ways to get there without joining the massive taxi rank que!
I've got the tickets but can't see anything about last entry??!!

Just seen cowboys post on my question. Thanks

I've been told there are people you can tip at hotels so you don't have to wait for cabs. I've never tried it myself. Another option is to hire towncar service. just talk to one of the parking attendants. Costs a little more but just a couple of options if you prefer not to wait in the taxi line or use the monorail.

My revised and condensed post now that you've bought tickets to Tiesto and Avicii:

                              Friday
I suggest you go to Alesso at Light @ Mandalay Bay (the newest club to LV along with Hakkasan). If you are getting a table, hit up Noah Ortiz on 323.919.6529 (he has WhatsApp so you can message him on that from the UK; or PM "NoahRam" on these forums). Alternatively, I can contact him for you.

                              Saturday
Steve Angello @ EBC. Book a lily pad or beach couch through Anthony Khotsikian (702.238.6186). If you want me to get prices because you're in the UK, let me know and I'll contact him for you.

                              Avicii @ XS - sorted.

                              Sunday
Check out Wet Republic or Kaskade @ MDC (I don't think it's worth seeing Avicii again at EBC).

You don't really need a daybed at WR, but if you want to book one, contact Thomas Gorman on 702.340.6498. Again, let me know if you want me to contact him for you.
For your MDC needs, contact Cliff Orr on 586.489.4531.

                              Tiesto @ Hakkasan - sorted.

                              Monday
The best pool party on Monday is Bare @ Mirage.
