As Hak is crazy money... Tao on Friday/Saturday Night?

Alright all...

So I was kinda planning to go hakkasan with a bit of bottle service Friday night when im over in August, but as we are seeing they are throwing down minimums of $3k for a low quality table OUTSIDE of the main room, and charging us 41% tax and grat for the privelege, it kinda puts me off. I may go Thursday as its a bit cheaper, but im not feeling this crazy money they demand.

Ive not been Tao on a Friday or Saturday, whats the crowd like? Any likelyhood you think that they will be running some buy one get one free's on bottles this summer? Im not hitting town on a holiday weekend, just Thu 8th to Tuesday 13th August.

Music wise im easy, i prefer house, but like R&B too so open format for me works... In fact I reckon its probably more of a laugh than the kinda rubbish Deadmau5 throws down these days!

Basically, im looking for a Friday and Saturday night option. Here's my current thinking

Thurs: Maybe Hakkasan, maybe 1Oak as I have a buy one, one free there and i havent been
Fri: Open to ideas. I was gonna go Hak or Light, but im guessing Light will be just as prohibitive
Sat: Open
Sun: XS
Mon: Marquee

These 40% tax and grat options are getting silly. As is ridiculously high table minimums. It almost makes me think im gonna ignore so called "Tier 1's" as I have just a good a time in Surrender and Tryst as I do in Marquee and XS, in fact I often have a better time.

Tao will be a good look on Fri or Sat. Depending on what the Light & Hakk do to table demand you may be able to land a deal at Tao.
But no telling until after they open. Tao seems to be leaning a little more towards Top40/HipHop lately in their DJ bookings.

Hyde would be a great option as well for one of those nights. Maybe do something like this...

Thurs: 1OAK
Fri: Tao
Sat: Hyde
Sun: XS
Mon: Marquee

That's a great mix of different types/sizes of venues and music. I'd be happy with that lineup.

Good news is since you're going in August you'll have some reviews from Light and Hakk by then.

Las Vegas is charging you 18.1%. Hakkasan is charging you 22%. The other clubs charge 18%-21% so Hakkasan is not piling on too much with the gratuity.

With respect to table cost, yes, it is crazy high, but for the same DJ talent Marquee would charge the same for an outside table as Hakkasan.

Yeah ive never been Hyde. Basically, me and my mate are going there for partying and to hook up with as many girls as poss. Im feeling these lounges since coming back from Miami. Hyde well worth hitting? Whats the women situation in that place? Obviously you get the big number of girls hitting the Tier 1's as they're new etc, but how is Hyde saturday nights?

Pimp - with you on the prices, it just seems this "LET" is a bit of a situation. I'd be major pissed if i was dropping $20k for a dance floor table at Hak only to realise that's actually $30k give or take once you're done. Thats crazy wedge!

LET sucks, but the fact is people are paying 1000% markup on bottles of liquor. If people cant afford the extra 10%, they prob shouldnt be doing bottle service anyways.
