What kind of music do you like ?EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Since you are there over Independence Day Weekend, there should be a solid list of DJs performing. Here is a massive mix of clubs/pools, but is all subject to which DJs get announced over IDW (and which ones you like/don't like).
July 2 (Tues night) - 1OAK. It will be open format (i.e. hiphop/top 40). Should be able to get a b2g1 or maybe b1g1 through Joey Orr 586.873.4876
July 3 (Wed night) - Surrender. I'm a big fan of this place; it has a good EDM lineup, and it is good both with and without tables. Anthony Khotsikian 702.238.6186 if you were after a table. The tables JUST OUTSIDE of the indoor part are the best.
July 4 (Thurs day) - Liquid @ Aria (Isaac Kaz Curry 702.900.6755) or Tao Beach (Chris Traer 702.510.5286). Both of these places are more intimate than the mega-pools Daylight, Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic, Marquee Dayclub.
July 4 (Thurs night) - Hakkasan. It will be opening to very expensive table prices, so you might want to get presales unless the price comes down a bit. Anyway, Thomas Gorman 702.340.6498 is your man if you need a table.
July 5 (Friday day) - Daylight (Noah Ortiz 323.919.6529), Wet Republic (Thomas Gorman 702.340.6498) or Marquee Dayclub Marquee (Cliff Orr 586.489.4531). Go to the place where you like the DJ the best. Daylight will be the newest dayclub in LV, so should be worth checking out. Also, note that Daylight and WR will probably be house/electro, while MDC will likely be more trance.
July 5 (Friday night) - Tryst (Bobby Yeadon 708.714.0280 ) or Tao (Chris Traer 702.510.5286) for a good open format Friday party. I think Tryst would be better than Tao if you aren't getting table service.
July 6 (Saturday day) - You didn't mention wanting to do a pool party on Saturday, but if you end up wanting to go, then just go to whichever one out of Daylight, WR and MDC you didn't visit on Friday.
July 6 (Saturday night) - Light (Noah Ortiz 323.919.6529). The newest LV club and it plays EDM. Tables aren't cheap, but if anyone can get you a decent price on a Saturday, it will be Noah.
July 7 (Sunday day) - Encore Beach Club is my pick on Sundays. Get in touch with Anthony Khotsikian (702.238.6186) and ask for a beach couch close to the water.
July 7 (Sunday night) - Nightswim at XS (Bobby Yeadon 708.714.0280). Might be able to get a b1g1 vodka/vodka (~$595) or goose/moet deal ($495).
July 8 (Monday day) - Bare pool at Mirage.
July 8 (Monday night) - Marquee via Cliff Orr (586.489.4531). Reduced prices on bottles.
Keep in mind that Light hasn't yet released details about its industry night - so you might be able to check it out on its industry night and go somewhere else on Saturday instead.
Based on your group size, you will be looking for a 1 or 2 bottle minimum, which almost everywhere will seat you outside. Closer to the date, try and hook up with another group on the GET CONNECTED forum to get a better spot and split the cost.Last edited by ocam; 04-02-2013, 11:06 PM.EastCoast: "I will preach. i will be there very similar dates, the 3rd til the 9th of july!
it will be my second time to vegas but my boyfriends first
i think we will just be getting general admission to places, we cant afford bottle service if its just the 2 of us plus we need to pace ourselves with the spending/partying as we are off to miami, new york then ibiza after vegas....
i was thinking:
Wed 3rd: just have a quietish night, go for a nice dinner and see a show or something, sightseeing along the strip
Thurs 4th: its my bfs bday this day so we will be having a big one!! Daylight or which ever pool has the best lineup, Hakkasan at night
Fri 5th: prob just recovering from the day before then maybe some lounge bars and go see some strippers haha
Sat 6th: Light nightclub
Sun 7th: Encore beach club then XS sunday night swim
Mon 8th: Marquee
would this be doable with a budget of only $200 a day?? we will be pre-drinking as much as possible so we dont have to spend as much in the clubs

$200 each or in total? It will cost you around $100 combined for admission to each event. On Thursday, where you intend to do both a pool and nightclub, that's already $200.Originally posted by bc86 View Posti will be there very similar dates, the 3rd til the 9th of july!

Since Thursday is the 4th of July, I don't think there are special event pool parties on... if you were set on Daylight, then try that on Fri or Sat instead to experience it properly, and do Liquid or TB on the Thursday. (Or do nothing on the Thursday during the day and put that money towards another day/night -- though this might not be appealling since it's your bf's birthday)
EDIT: Having partied in LV, NY, Miami and Ibiza -- if you were trying to save in LV so you could do a table in one of the other places, then I'd rethink. Didn't rate Miami that highly to be honest and preferred getting table service in LV over Miami.
Ibiza entry is around 60+ euro but no-one does tables for obvious reasons.
Unless you know people in NY, then it will be hard to get into the right clubs. You don't have the advantage of presales like in LV and Miami.Last edited by ocam; 04-04-2013, 09:37 PM.EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Spearmint Rhino has the finest ladies and also has a $100 bottle deal before 8pm.

$200 a day each...i thought that might be ok since last time i went to vegas i had a pretty good time on $100 a day, but i didnt have to pay to get in anywhere and got free drinks most of the time haha. i suppose it will be a lot different this time around going with a partner...Originally posted by ocam View Post$200 each or in total? we werent planning on getting bottle service in miami or NY either...staying with a friend in NY so hopefully he can sort us out there.
i guess we could just make friends with people and put in together for a table some nights...
yeah i wasnt sure if independence day would be quiet or busy, when its a public holiday here in Australia, heaps of stuff closes but i didnt think that would be the case in Vegas...will have to see closer to the date
thanks for your advice

Yep those freebies will fall away now that you're travelling with a dude.
You can still probably get guestlisted yourself, but you'd have to split up which can be a pain. Because independence day falls midweek, the big events will be from that Friday onwards.EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy.
