Forced Tipping

I'm going to Las Vegas for Memorial Day Weekend for a friend's bachelor party, his fiance will also be having her bachelorette party during the same weekend. They want to do everything seperate with the exception of going out one night as one group. So they already have planned for us a club crawl with Nite Tours (I'm pretty against this as I believe it's a rip-off and I could easily get us on a guestlist using the contacts from this site). I have big problem with this club crawl especially after reading all the reviews on Yelp but the bachelorette planner is dead set on it and swears she has used it twice before.

Sorry to ramble but my question is after reading some of the reviews it seems that some of the hosts expect and demand a tip at the end of the night which they state is "required," can they require a tip especially if it is not stated anywhere on this website? I feel this is kindy a slimy practice especially if the service sucks (which from reading most of the reviews seems like it does).

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Never gone on one of these so no firsthand experience but a tip per definition can't really be required as in mandatory if it isn't automatically build into the bill. It probably is more of a thing that is expected and in most cases should be done as these people live of that extra income like other professions too. Having said that if the service is really crappy and then the host comes at the end of the night directly requiring you to pay up you can always say no. And if it's really the end of the night I can't really see what he can do to make you pay up, don't see them keeping you hostage in the tour bus or at the last party location until you tip.

These tours are to the wack clubs/bars... the ones you get in free anyway, what a fukn dumb idea.. No offense, but I've seen the places they go to and the days they go to them and I go ... "they are preying on the ill informed"

Yah I was pretty deadset against this but the bachelorette is convinced it will be a good time. According to their website the lineup for the day we have planned is meet at Lily Lounge at Bellagio, then to The Bank also at the Bellagio, then to 1OAK at Mirage, and then end at HAZE at Aria. But it also states "Tour lineups and venues are subject to change without notice." which I think allows them to do a bait-and-switch.

On these things, you're supposedly allowed to just stay at a club if you like it instead of moving on...at least that's how it worked when I did one in LA (which was sort of fun, but we had a good group). So I can't see how they could enforce tipping at the end of the night that way. I think I might know which company you're using (based on the line-up). I briefly entertained doing one for my upcoming trip (before I found this site) and found them kind of slimy even in just the initial contact (oh my gosh and FORGET IT once I asked them to stop contacting me because I'd made other plans!)

Overall, this sounds like a crappy idea- sorry you've been roped into it! Lol but I'm vehemently against having joint bachelor/bachelorette parties anyway, so I am definitely biased! Just try to make the best of it, I guess.

Yea, not bad at all, I thought it was one of those bar hop things to Magaritaville or something, haha.. but you're going to miss the peak of each club by hopping around. I'd say it would have to be Thurs, Fri, Sat as this is the only day all 3 are open. Thursday, I'm guessing. Again though, on Thursday all 3 are pretty much free entry and guest list. If it's Thursday, then you won't have a problem getting into any of these on the promoter GL

Well after talking with some of the guys it looks like we will skip the Club Crawl and let the girls do that. We are just gonna meet up with them at one of the clubs and I will just get us on a guestlist. Saves us money and the hassle of having to deal with a non-club host. Last time I went to Vegas I had no problem getting on guestlists and most places waved the cover. Of course it was because I got contact info for some amazing host from this site (shout out to Mikey T., Ryan P., and Phil L.). I kept trying to tell them I could plan the same night if not better for no cost but they are convinced that the Club Crawl is the way to go.
