  • First timer in Vegas (18/4 - 22/4) few questions...

hey guys, first post. heading to vegas for four nights after coachella, really unsure of what to bring. going to new york for three nights as well and i know they've got a pretty strict dress code also. coming from the uk so not quite used to the whole dress code as we get away with most things here. i know jeans are acceptable pretty much every where which is easy enough.

    chinos.jpgshoes.jpg

chinos are usually fine here and i've seen a few people wearing similar things in photos? also, what about the shoes, they okay?

in regards to buying tickets for events on websites like wantickets, is this a good idea or better waiting till i get there?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. really looking forward to vegas now!

Cant see your images man, but chino's are fine.

There's a lot of scare stories out there about what to wear and what not to wear. As long as your shoes are nice, and not a mess, and NOT square toed loafers you are fine. If you have a table you have more choice. If you're general or pre-sale then jus make sure you are wearing a collar. Either polo, collared shirt, or a blazer over a t shirt.

I have got into vegas clubs in t shirts, jeans and nice shoes. However these were plain, well fitting Reiss T shirts that had no logo and were nice smart colours etc.

Ticket wise, the longer in advance the cheaper it is. You can still get tickets on the day but youre obviously cutting it fine if you plan to go to a popular night.

Perfect. They're like mustard brown chinos so hopefully they'll be okay. Bringing couple of pairs of jeans as well so should be fine. Can't believe it's Hakkasan's opening weekend when we're there, should be brilliant. Was wanting to go to XS and planned on seeing Avicii but no chance I'm missing Hardwell. Think we'll see Tommy Trash on the Sunday too. So it's a toss up between Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano at Marquee or Steve Angello at XS - what venue is usually better on a Saturday?

There's only two of us and 80% of the reviews and recommendations for pool parties/nightclubs are to go for table service. How expensive are we talking?

          Sean-
Avicii at xs might be a better value for your money but have to wait see what hakkasan is charging.
On Saturday Night both clubs will have a nice crowd but Steve Angello is the bigger name.

On table- 1 bottle min $500+20% tip+8%tax $650++ that would probably get you a really bad table location-probably outside

+1 for Hardwell after seeing his performance @ Ultra. Dude tore it up. From what I've read there are multiple rooms with multiple djs at Hak so I'd be careful about getting B.S. there...wouldn't want to end up in a different room from Hardwell.

Well there's zero chance I'll be getting bottle service then haha! Far too pricey, unless I get lucky in the casino before. See if you buy a ticket, is that you in regardless of how many people in the queue etc? Obviously we'll still need to queue but if you've already bought tickets, you can't be turned away for it being too full, is that right?

Yeah, definitely. Big fan of him, Tommy Trash is really good too.

Will just depend on how much I've got left after New York, Coachella then LA but hopefully it'll all be good.

Noticed there's a few pool parties too. Wet Republic and Encore, what's the better venue? And I've read that there's nowhere to put your stuff? That's a bit odd. Where do you keep your money etc if you're in the pool?

Okay, no chance we'll be doing bottle service then unless either of us get lucky in the casino's before we go. Any idea when tickets will go out for Hakassan? Also, if you buy a ticket online, is that you guaranteed entry? Like they can't say it's full when you get there if you've already paid to get in, is that right?

Kinda but not exactly. If you get there really late and they are at capacity they still can make you wait until others leave, so even with pre-sale tickets I would want to make sure you don't get there too late, meaning past midnight.

Great, thanks. Hopefully tickets aren't too expensive but I'm expecting the worst. Will be worth it though! Thanks everyone for all your help.

I would go with Steve Angello. EBC is hands down the best pool party in Vegas IMO
