  • What to expect from Hakkasan?

I'll be staying at MGM during the July AOD invasion and was wondering if anyone had any inside info regarding Hakkasan. I've been reading that Hakkasan has signed Deadmau, Tiesto, Aoki, CH, and hopefully Hardwell, so I assume they are looking to go BIG! Will this make entry more difficult for people who aren't "high rollers." For example, would me and my 2 other guy friends have any problems getting into a TOP DJ night with pre-sale tickets? Thanks everyone, this place sounds like it's going to be a blast.

Presales give you guaranteed entry if the club isn't at capacity.
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Sweet, thanks! I'll show up early if I have too and I'll just assume staying at MGM property won't provide any benefit since the club is brand new.

Yes, I think most benefits from staying at MGM would be entry to slow-ish days at Wet Republic.

I'm almost 100% sure that if you have presale and arrive before the time it states on the ticket (usually 11pm), you will get in.

Well they won't let you in if it's at capacity, but you will have priority entry once people start leaving and there's space again

              Patricio-
I think this article announcing Tiesto's residency gives you some ideas what its going to be like-
              http://www.rollingstone.com/music/vi...vegas-20130228
with Tiesto dedicating his year to Vegas and not going to Ibiza-I would expect a Tiesto summer announcement similar to Kaskade's at Marquee- basically every key summer date has a vegas show.

I have also heard that the Hakkasan resident's contracts also have a MGM Grand Arena option....

When they finally open reviews will start coming out instantly thanks to the internet- I would also watch what they do on Fight weekend, Memorial Day weekend and EDC weekend.
Hopefully the July invasion will have at least one event there!

Is it me or did they poach most of their lineup from Wynncore as opposed to Marquee? Bingo Players, Dada Life, NERVO, R3HAB, and Tommy Trash on top of the original announcement of Tiesto/deadmau5/Calvin Harris/Aoki.

Yes, but Wynncore replaced them with Above & Beyond, Knife Party, Eric Prydz, etc. Marquee missed out on every big name except for retaining a partial Avicii residency, and Kaskade. Looking at where everyone landed after this latest shuffling, Marquee definitely finished in third behind Wynncore and Hakkasan. (note: I don't think Light did enough to totally warrant beating out Marquee, so maybe it's 3A and 3B).
