  • Marquee question

Will be in LV on 4/5-6. Was quoted BS on main floor at 3-8K. Is that due to Morrilo playing Sat night or is that normal? If we go to Marquee on Fri night, and since we're staying at the Cosmo get in free, does that change the host tipping average? I wouldn't think so?

Your question at the end made no sense. Anyhow, I don't think Cosmo let's their patrons into Marquee in for free on weekend, I think it is only Monday and Industry Nights and Friday, so I've heard. It may be free but I think there are two lines, one for cosmo guests and GA. I hear Hotel line gets pretty long. Main floor is always super expensive, honestly... To me, Morrilo isn't a HUGE DJ name, it also depends on who you have going with you. if its a bunch of dudes, BS is going to be expensive as hell. As for your last question, I don't think it will change the host tipping average, they don't care that you are staying there, they are doing their job and would like to get a tip for their work.

Morillo isn't huge is the states, which is weird because he's American, but he's big in Vegas and it's his first Marquee night in almost 5 months. Tables are going to be at a premium.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, my final question was poorly written. While I've been to LV 8 times I'm a BS newbie, as I've been there either with clients over 50 who have no club interest or my wife who hates the clubs and will only go and hang out at a back bar by the pool (don't ask, I can't figure her out either). Cover or no cover I was planning on tipping a few hundred for the host, but was curious as I thought cover was included with BS and was one of the reasons for using/tipping a host. Without cover charge, there's less benefit. So, if we get into Marquee early for no cover, was thinking the group could check it out and we could ask for BS if we stay. Is that a good plan or will the tables fill up quickly and we'll be screwed?

I'm staying at Cosmo the same weekend
We're going out thurs night and Sunday night for BS outside of Cosmo, but Friday and planned even Sat, hitting up Marquee

I just read some reviews on Google and it seems like it sucks at Marquee if you don't have BS
          https://plus.google.com/115098044839...50/about?hl=en

Don't like hearing that in a club, security walks around and tells you to keep it moving like your at baseball game or something and these reviews make it seem like you can't even go on the dance floor unless you have BS

Might have to change my plans.....Will at least check out Maruqee Friday since I am staying at Cosmo and than see that how goes and either get BS for Morillo (Who I can just see around here anytime) or try another club saturday night

Just for back up....anybody know any good second tier clubs, that have good club crowds, good music and not the madness of worrying about security keeping you in check for just hanging out? (and the way overpacked crowd)
I really wanted to do Marquee saturday night, but also just want to have a good time at a club and not worry about not being able to go on a dance floor, or any other nonsense

Just seems like Saturday night can be wasted here if you plan going without BS

Cover is included when you get bottle service. Usually it's 3 guys/bottle, each bottle assuming you're getting goose/ciroc/kettle is $500 +/-.

If you decide to go friday then it's not a bad idea to get in using your room key (it's only you +1 person per room by the way) and going in and getting the feel for the club before you drop $3k+. But if you have a group of 8-10 guys with you, you're better off just doing bottles from the beginning and call it home for the night.

Thanks. Sounds like we need to go BS to start as we're 6 guys, no girls....

Most of the dance floors in Vegas currently aren't that big. But if you're someone who likes to be able to get on the dancefloor when ever you want Vegas clubs aren't going to be much fun. They close access to the entire inside of XS on really busy nights. Especially given that the big clubs Marquee, XS, Surrender, Tao all have pools attached that increase capacity. Is getting a table in the main room at Marquee ideal yes.

I'm not a big fan of Marquee's setup but the one thing I do love is hanging out by the pool area at night. The back bar is probably one of my most reliable, meet girl/talk to girls spots in Vegas. I swear that area is money! So, I've never really had a big desire to do a high min table there as I like open format/ hip hop. With that said, going GA now that the pool area is open and weather beautiful, isn't that bad of a thing. My thoughts on Marquee have been, if you're not spending top $ to be in the main room for a DJ you really, really, have to see then there may be better BS options at other clubs. I wouldn't get a table in the boom box or Library room, I would get a cabana at night though out by the pool, grab some hot girls and lock them down for the night in the cabana....

+1 to this. We did 2 GC's at night in may and had a blast. The pool was packed in addition to the main room. If you don't have to 'see' the DJ the pool deck gives you affordable table options with just as much eye candy.

Morillo not a big name???? You gotta be kidding me, he's been around a lot longer than any other of the jokers they get to play there.

Lol, this is so true. He's also a better DJ technically than just about anybody.

I agree! Can I ask you a quick question since you seem to know what you are talking about. Would it be worth getting a table in Marquee on a Monday? We are 4 guys and want to spend around $250 each (including tax/tip etc). We don't want to just drink bottles all night and would probably have beers, shots etc. We aren't the kind of people to sit down all night and would probably be moving around between outside and main room. Only concern is it would be too busy if we didn't get bottle service. Are Mondays packed like weekends??

Mondays are industry night at Marquee so it won't be slow, but it also won't be super packed like weekends They also do reduced bottle prices on Monday. If you guys like to wander just make sure you tip your security guard or make sure you always have 1 person at the table. If you are all going to spend $250 each there's no reason not to have a table. The server will get you shots from the bar.

That sounds like a great plan
How much do you think a cabana runs?
Prob will have 4 guys....my boy has a group of girls got coming to meet up with us, but staying at Cosmo, so it's not like we need to stay attached, but a nice fall back plan, lol
