I have booked a trip at the end of August for a week at the MGM. While this is only my 2nd time there (I am by no means an expert) and my wife 1st time, I have also book tickets to see Celine Dion as this is her Fav. Singer. My questing is concerning admission into clubs, and please excuse my stupidness on the madder.
My 1st time to Vegas I remember people walking around handing out passes for clubs, the one that I used was a $5 or $10 (I forget) admission to ugly coyote (was not impressed with that place) but more to the point, If I`m a guest at the MGM do I get in free to Tabu....
Also these passes for different things going on at the resort, would I be able to as for them at the concierge desk, sort of saving me from walking around looking for them.

Not sure of you and your wife's style but there is everything in Vegas-
relaxing experience-spa's and fancy restaurants-
to the all out rager experience- pool parties and nightclubs that are wild all day and night.

There is a new club opening at MGM called Hakkasan opening around end of April- read some reviews once it opens to get a feel for it.

On people passing out free passes in vegas-they are everywhere! But the passes are usually not for the busy/in-demand places. For example-your not going to get free tickets to Celine.

I would try to plan what your hoping to see/try/experience and what kind of budget you have to work with.
Then look at some nightclub lineups about 4/6 weeks out and see if you/ your wife like any of the DJs playing.
If all night rager isn't your thing go to some nice restaurants.

So the trip is at the End of Aug for a week Monday - Friday, I have the Celine tickets booked for the, Wed (I think it was)... But when it comes to clubs, the ones that are in the resort that your a guest at, is there any chance that they let in free or are you expected to pay for admission?
I could understand going into a different resort and having to pay to get into their club but as guest do I have to talk to the Concierge and ask them for admission or can I just show my room card or something to the door guy?

I think it depends on the hotel, but I doubt the room key is enough. A few years back my buddy was staying at Palazzo and the front desk hooked him up with a few free admission cards for Lavo when he checked in. I'm sure concierge could do the same for hotel guests.
