So, it's been a while since I've posted, or even read, the boards over here. My last Vegas trip was back in September, then life got busy, work got busy, I switched it up and went to FL a couple times and now it seems that everything's changing. Can someone fill me in/catch me up quickly on the new places in Vegas? From what I gather the south and of the strip seems to be stepping up it's game a bit. I feel as though this is a welcome, and needed, change for some of the properties down there. It seems like Hakkasan at MGM and Light/Daylight at Mandalay are the next big things coming up?
I'm going to Vegas with one other girl April 26-30. Im hoping two other girls will come, but i don't think they will be able to this trip. We are staying at Palms Place and since our flight doesn't land until after midnight (we have to work that day) by the time we check in and get ready I thought we would just stay at the Palms, but now I'm seeing that Light is scheduled to open that night. I'd LOVE to go to Light if thats the case, but do you think that it's a lost cause since we'd be getting there late on their opening night? Is there an expected opening for Hakkasan? I understand Daylight isn't opening until memorial day weekend.
Are there any other major changes that I've missed? The girl I'm going with has been to Vegas once, but she didn't really get to party properly so I'd consider her half a Vegas virgin lol. I wanna do pool parties sat and sun and just hotel pool on Monday to relax, but I plan on clubs fri, sat, sun and mon nights. I'm not sure if she'll get worn out or not, but that's the schedule I'm aiming for and whatever happens happens. I was gonna wait until there are dj lineups for those days to choose the clubs other than Friday.
