  • 3 Girls, maybe 5, in Vegas March 9-12 need advice

    Hi,

My 2 friends and I will be in Vegas March 9th (Saturday) - March 12 (Tuesday), it's our first time there and we're really excited! We'll be staying at the Cosmopolitan and would love to have recommendations for some nightclubs and also daytime activities.

I've seen some posts about getting on the guest list or contacting hosts/promoters before arriving in Vegas, does that allow you to skip the line and enter without cover or just skip the line?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm new here too, and I'm sure the other more experienced posters can tell you more, but from what I've read, you should contact a host/promoter to get on the guest list to allow you to skip the line and enter without cover. You can also arrange other things like BS and/or getting a table and so forth.
I will be heading to Vegas with 2 other guys and arriving March 11, and will be going to 1Oak on Tuesday 12th, and have BS and a table sorted. Too bad you'll be leaving on the 12th? Otherwise you're welcome to join us! Not sure what we're dong on Monday yet, as we only arrive at about 4pm.

First of all, welcome to the site, this is the BEST place for all things Vegas. Since you are staying at the Cosmo, I would do Marquee on Monday night for sure (it is their industry night). I do believe there are free drinks for ladies until midnight as well. You'll get in free with your room key, and there is a special line for hotel guests, so you don't have to worry about guest list. Beyond that, help us out with a little more info, what kind of music do you like?

My gf and I will be staying at Cosmo that same weekend (Mar 8-11). We are good friends with another couple staying there also. (Side note: And not to be presumptuous, Juliee "Tran", but the two girls in our group are also Vietnamese lol)

We haven't figured out our Saturday and Sunday plans yet. Others have told you that Marquee is free for Cosmo hotel guests, but note that the pass doesn't work on Saturdays. I'm jealous that you kids will be there to possibly take advantage of Marquee's Monday industry night (great advice, BBB! I've actually never been.).

Anyway, a group of 3-5 girls should have no problem getting into the popular clubs without a promoter. If most of you dress to impress, you may not have to tip a bouncer to bypass the line -- he might just open the rope and walk you to the front himself. Inside the club, guys will be inviting you to their tables left and right, so you shouldn't have to spend much unless you want to avoid awkward smalltalk with d-bags trying to show off their money. Regardless, my Vegas plan always includes stocking up on liquor, sodas, and champagne for pre- and after-parties in the hotel room. Saves a lot of money.

Awesome! I guess I should contact a host/promoter soon since it's this upcoming weekend? And boo, I keep seeing posts about 1Oak, so sad I'm missing out!! Thanks!!!

Thanks! I called the hotel, they said free for hotel guest up until 11 p.m. so I guess we'll just head over there a little early. But they didn't menton the free drinks, so thanks!

We like all kinds of music really, anything we can dance to, hip hop (but from reading many other posts, there aren't many hip hop clubs), top 40... anything really.. as long as the atmosphere is there!

So far, go to Marquee on Monday night

Do you guys have any tips for (day & night)
              3/9 Saturday
              3/10 Sunday

This will be my whole groups first time in Vegas so we want to hit up all the right places!
Cosmo said their pool will be opening on the 4th of march, do you think there will be other pools that will be hosting parties yet?

              Thanks!

Cosmo means their hotel pool is opening 4th of March, not Marquee Dayclub. So don't expect a pool party with music, it'll just be people lounging by the side of the pool. If you wanted a day party, then you should look into Ghostbar Dayclub which a lot of people on here highly recommend.

What kind of music do you like? I like electronic music, so I would do:

Saturday day: Ghostbar Dayclub @ Palms [contact Chad Noyes - 630.903.1993 - [email protected]]
Saturday night: Cedric Gervais @ Surrender [contact Anthony Khotsikian - 702.238.6186 - [email protected]]
Sunday night: Norman Doray @ XS [contact Ryan Perrings - 505.507.6111 - [email protected]]

If you like hiphop/top 40, then I'd suggest:

Saturday day: Ghostbar Dayclub @ Palms [contact Chad Noyes - 630.903.1993 - [email protected]]
Saturday night: Tao @ Venetian [contact Chris Traer - 702.510.5286] or 1OAK @ Mirage [contact Joey Orr - 586.873.4876 - [email protected]]
Sunday night: The Bank @ Bellagio [contact Joey Orr - 586.873.4876 - [email protected]]

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

It's a shame none of the pool parties seem to start until the following weekend. Anyway, it looks like Vegas daytime temps are going to drop into the 60s this weekend.
