  • Why go through a host to get bottle/table service?

    Hello all,

New to the bottle service scene, have a 5 day trip planned for mid-year for 3-4 guys. Looking to stay at the Wynn or Encore and go to at least Tryst, XS and TAO.

Is there somewhere I can find the minimum bottle per person (e.g. minimum 1 bottle for 4 people?) or the minimum spend requirement at these clubs?

Just curious, as far as I know, you can organize bottles through the club websites. What advantage is there of contacting a host on this forum in comparison to organizing it through the website? Is it cheaper? Factoring in the $100 tip to the host, can somebody help outline the pros/cons?

    Much appreciated.

You will get more personalized service and ensure a better experience at the door by working with a host. It's also an opportunity to build a relationship with a host for a future trips.

Most places are using a minimum second versus a number of bottles. The more you're willing to spend, the better table you'll get. Conversely, if you want to spend the minimum required amount, your table will likely be away from the action.

You also don't have to tip $100. You can tip what you're comfortable with but obviously the more you take care of the host the more he/she will take care of you.

      Hi,

Its usually 1 bottle per 3 people at every club.

Minimum spend is usually about $1-2k for smaller tables, $3-5k for average tables and $7-10k for dance floor tables. This would be at Tier 1 like XS, Marquee.

Its a little cheaper at Tier 2 clubs like Tao, Tryst and 1Oak.

You're better off using the guys here as they are very knowledgable and help Jack Colton users out more than an anonymous person via the website. Youll get better tables and so on. I wouldnt say its cheaper, probably similar money, but the service and end result will be better.

Thanks for the quick replies. Would those be weekend prices? Say there are 4 of us but one doesn't drink alcohol by choice, do you think they would enforce the 1 bottle per 3 people rule? Between 3 of us I don't think we would be looking at more than 1 bottle anyway.

Yes that'll be weekends outside Labor Day etc.

Be aware though, a $1k table isnt making lots of money for the club, so if you want to make sure you get it, get there early, as in 10pm.

You need to speak with the host regarding the 4 people thing. Im sure it'd be fine, but like I say you need to open dialogue with them about it.

Another thing - that 1 bottle lasts no time whatsoever. You WILL buy more, trust me. It will last 1 hour tops between 3 of you, especially if you meet some girls. Remember youre pouring yourself with no measures so youll blatently go over your usual.

Expect to be spending $400 - $500 each time you get bottle service by the end of the night

I wouldnt have much faith in my table if I had to walk up to the line at Marquee/XS on a Sat night knowing I booked my table through a website all while having no contact with any person thats working outside the club

I've had bottle/table service a few different times, only once with a bad taste left in my mouth. Tao we decided to go in on a whim and get a table for the 4 of us guys. After trying to tip simply to skip the line we ended up deciding on bottle service. We got put at the worst table (out near the front door where it was really bright from casino lobby lighting) and this was after a "firm handshake" with the gentleman that sat us as I asked for a good table location. Would never book on the fly again, will always come to JC to find a valuable host.

If you didn't pre-arrange a table, chances are there might not have been any desirable tables left?
EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Wow, alot more pricy than I thought it would be. Do you get booted from the table if you finish your first bottle and don't buy more?

Perfect example of how NOT to handle bottle service. Once you're in the club with nothing pre-arranged, you're essentially at their mercy.

You shouldn't get booted...only place I've heard of this really is The Bank...and nobody has reported this happening recently.
Bottle service seems expensive at first glance, but if you drink the equivalent amount of alcohol in the club without a table you'll spend the same amount. Think about it this way...

                          Each guy has 4 drinks = $60/each ($180)
You know you'll get a couple rounds of shots = $20/each guy ($60)
                          Each buy a couple drinks for a lady = $40/each ($120)
TOTAL = $360...and you don't have a table...AND most likely you're going to drink more than that if you close the place down....and spend a significant amount of time at the bar getting drinks.

It's not feasible for most to do bottle service every night...but you're on vacation...take one night and live it up.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

That sounds about right, I would probably spend that much if I didnt have bottle service. So are you suggesting for 3 guys decent bottle service can be had for $400ish? Wondering because on the previous page it was suggested we would be spending $400ish EACH
Thanks for all the replies so far, been very helpful

And also a good host provides other intangibles, say you do a bottle one night but want to go somewhere else the next, chances are your host will send you to this other industry contacts to take care of you.
