  • What would YOU do?

I thought this might be an intersting topic for the JC crew...

Let's say you've got 10 guys, and a group budget of $8000, after hotel and flight expenses. You are in Vegas for ONE weekend, Thursday - Sunday. What is your perfect Vegas weekend, given the budget and group size??

    Party on!

I'd only plan 3 things to do as a group bottle/table.
2 Pools Fri-Sun ( big one, and a small one), 1 Club Thurs,Friday, or Sun (not Sat, I'd go hard at the pool Sat and not even try to go out after), try to budget $2500 for each (go where i could get best deal and still enjoy music/crowd). The in between days/time, wing it, do your own thing..

Thur table @ Tryst or Haze. There are bottle deals on Thursday for about $1200.
$3500-$4K premium table on Friday night @ XS or Tryst, (even Surrender depending on the night). I'm not a fan of Marquee.
Marquee Dayclub Cabana $3K or so. Also check into EBC for Saturday or Sunday.

I would plan two or three big events at solid venues. Better to go big then spread your money around on a bunch of bad table locations in poor clubs. If you get a premium table at a good club you will have one of the best nights of your life.

I agree with Isaac, whenever I plan BPs in Vegas we always make the big table night on Friday night, and party hard at the pool on Saturday. This always works out best. Usually half the group is dead by Saturday night and some people have flights out around noon-2pm. Also, table minimums tend to be a little cheaper on Fridays.

        More info needed:

What time of year- summer/winter? Holiday weekend/nonHoliday weekend?
Have you/the group been anywhere in vegas before?
        Is it a birthday/bachelor party?
        Whats your music taste?

Understand you could spend $8000 easy at one pool party/nightclub in one night.
Or you could split it between a few parties or you could go ticket route then a big blowout, throw in a strip club or two.

$8K on black at Wynn shortly after arrival.

Plan rest of weekend dependent on results.

Summer I think is the most appropriate time for this exercise as pools are open and while I am on a bachelor party and we are going June 13th, I was more asking what would the board members do if they could do anything that weekend with restrictions only being group size and budget...

Would you guys say going to a pool party friday, taking it easy saturday, and going hard saturday night, would be a big mistake? (rather than the pool party saturday, ect ect...)

Honestly all on black is the way to go!!

I think Saturday is a better pool party day than Friday (I know some Ditch and Tao Beach lovers will argue with me). Therefore I think Saturday is the best day for your pool party.

                  Two things to know:

                  1. Once you are in Vegas, any plan to take it easy an afternoon or night will be tossed aside. So don't plan to take a Saturday day easy. It won't happen. Especially a Saturday day in June when the pools will be packed with bikini clad women. No chance it happens.

                  2. At least half of your group will wear down by Saturday night. Fact. Those that do not can always walk into a club (tip host for a walk in) on Saturday night.

One more note. If I were you, I would do pool party Friday, club Friday night, pool party Saturday. And tip a host for a walk in (no table) at clubs on Thursday and Sunday.

Or better idea get your buddies to come up with another $500 each . . .

The weekend your going matters: in the sense of what is going on in Vegas generally.
For example June 21 22 23 is EDC weekend also Colton's invasion weekend.
So if you went EDC weekend instead of June 14 15 16 different experience, different talent, people in town.
EDC weekend is one of the better talent weekends in vegas.
                      EDC tickets $300x10= $3000 or Invasion wristbands $60x10= $600

Everything will be open June 14 15 16- all the pools and the new clubs.
The talent lineups will probably be announced 4-6 weeks out.
I think it comes down to if you want to experience a certain party/ have a favorite DJ.
For example if your really excited for a Saturday night party and are planning on spending a lot of cash don't go really hard at a Saturday Pool party.
Realize you could be spending $50x10 $500 per pool/nightclub just in entry fees for your group. $500 pool $500 club = $1000 a day in just entry no drinks or table. makes them invasion wristbands look like amazing!

Eh not so worried about making it out saturday night, we survived last time and that will be our big finale so I think everyone will conserve some energy. No doubt it was difficult to make it out for that one final party, but if were specifically budgeting for it, making arragnments ect... I'm not really concerned, if they have to boot and rebound they'll do it!!

Also IMPORTANT QUESTION: It seems prices for pool parties are substantially lower on Fridays vs Sat/Sun. Is this directly correlated to the crowds being substantially smaller and the parties not being that crazy or will we still have a great time going to the pool and getting BS on a friday?

You'll still have a great time on a Friday, but yes the atmosphere is as crazy on Fridays. Remember, most of the California weekend trippers start driving on Friday afternoon.
