  • Dance Floor Table at Haze or Lesser Table at Tryst on Friday Night in May

    Hello again,

Been trying to get my group of 8 guys to commit to Bottle Service but it has not been easy. I have decided to exclude XS and Marquee because they are beyond our budget.

So it comes down to what has been discussed on other threads about Tier 2 clubs, for the roughly the same money and number of bottles (3) do we go for:

    1. Dance floor table at Haze; or

    2. Less desirable table location at Tryst

We are looking for best bang for the buck combined with an attractive crowd.

As always, your thoughts and suggestions are most appreciated.

Where is the table at Tryst?
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

I like 1oak in the Mirage for the best bang for your buck and a newer Venue!

Best VIP HOST at 1oak: Joey Orr - 586-873-4876

Chuck, Tryst table is outside just off the dance floor, 700 I think other option was 601-604 types of tables. Those ones seem a little tight though for 8.

I hear 1OAK plays more hip hop, which is something less desirable for our group. Looking at EDM first and foremost.

You guys don't seem too fond of Haze, am I correct in saying that?

Haze has a really small dance floor for the size of the club with the really annoying raised platforms that all the girls dance on. So you end up with a pit of guys all gridlocked together looking up at the girls on the platforms. I personally hate it because I like to dance with women and you can't at this place for those two reasons. With that being said, a dance floor table at Haze might be decent because you have your own space then. Can't say for sure, I'm not a BS budget guy.

Haze is open format on Fridays now. They did away with their house Fridays night.

If you're going in May, your options open considerably at XS and Marquee due the patio tables, unless you just absolutely want to be inside.

I haven't done bottles at Haze...went GA once with my wife and another couple and we had a good time...however, we arrived around 1:30am and were already rocked sooo...

Did bottles (on the dancefloor) at 1OAK the night after Haze, which happened to be a Friday. We got there early and up until about 11:30 or so it was mostly hiphop. When DJ Karma came on he played a great mix of top40/hiphop/edm...more edm after midnight or 1:00. Here's a video of both...Haze first (from behind the dj booth) and 1OAK second from our table.

If EDM is really important then I'd look at other venues besides Tryst and Haze. 3 bottles for 8 guys won't get you on the dance floor at places like Marquee, XS, Hakassan, and Light (all of which will be EDM). However, it would be a shame to drop that kind of cash for a table and have to listen to music that you don't like all night.

If I were you I'd get and idea of all of my options and learn about each venue. Then sit back and wait for DJ lineups to be released and make a decision from there.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

I agree completely about the dance floor, definitely not the best, although if you just went by the platforms there were plenty of girls willing to step down and dance so not terrible.

We had a 1 bottle table for 3 guys, downstairs but back by the side bar. Was decent, it had the benefit of being quieter and able to get away from the craziness but looking back I wish we had just added on another bottle after being told we could get a table out in the main area by the dance floor if we did. Those tables definitely help the dance floor situation by providing your own space. I can't compare to tryst though as I haven't been yet.

This was a Thursday by the way.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like even though the dance floor is small at Haze, having a dance floor table could solve the problem by having our own space. This being said, any chance of the table being over run by crowds on the dance floor though? How good is security at keeping space for bottle service customers?

Heater913: What is your overall opinion of Haze? How was the dance floor scene, around the tables in particular if you happen to recall?

                      Thanks!

At Tryst, is it worth the money to get closer to the dance floor. Say tables 600 or 435? What are other desirable table locations?

                        Thanks!

700 and 220 are great spots. I usually get 220. The map sucks. You can spit on the dance floor and you have a great view of the waterfall.

Thanks guys, I was worried that 700 and 220 were too 'outside' but it sounds like a great spot in relation to the dance floor and the water fall. Do you get people (i.e. girls) dancing near and around these tables?
