MGM Post - Hakasaan

I am planning a bachelor party for Thurs, May 30 - Sun, June 2nd and wanted to get some insight regarding the nightlife at MGM. We considering staying at the MGM, but figu

1) With Hakasaan opening in Spring, do you think it will change the vibe of MGM (i.e. there will be more fellow party goers staying there).

2) With Hak and light opening up, will that make some of the other tier 1.5 clubs (1 Oak, Tao, etc.) obsolete.

3) This is kinda off topic, but are there any privileges for hotel guests in getting into Marquee, Wet Republic, Tao etc. if you are a hotel guest.

1. Yes.

2. No, not at all. Light and Hakkasan will have more impact on the other tier 1 EDM heavy clubs like Marquee and XS.

3. Cosmo guests can use their room key for entry at Marquee. Not sure on the others, but I know eating at Tao's restaurant gets you a stamp for the club entry if you ask for it.

With regard to comp entry - I stayed at MGM over Labor Day Weekend recently, every day when I walked down toward the pool me and my group were offered free Wet Republic entry before noon. You have to be a hotel guest but yeah - its free. Take it, get a stamp and then do as you please.

Studio54 wasn't a Tier 1 club? (Sarcasm included)

It will definitely change the vibe of the casino, but they still will not be done with renovations. In mid-April Tabu is closing, and they plan to update that as well.

It will obviously change the vibe, but it should also fill up some of the casino bars as well.

It will definitely change the vibe of the casino, but they still will not be done with renovations. In mid-April Tabu is closing, and they plan to update that as well.

That place needs it IMO

Yes, Hakk & Light it will hurt more of the EDM heavy larger clubs.

No joke, I stayed their a year ago. That place has really gone down hill. It was the first time I had set foot into the place in a while. It could use some new life.

I hear the MGM sig is quite a far distance from the action, given this would you recommend staying at mirage/cosmo, and just partying at Hak/Wet

Hmmm, Sig is connected with a moving walk way and you enter MGM near the pool area, then you have to walk through that food court, then through the hotel. But it's definitely closer than if you stayed at Mirage or Cosmo. But it would be a good 10 min ride/walk from Sig. Good thing about Sig though is it's right by Wet Republic, you can look down on the party and walk over there in a couple mins down the path.
