  • Ultra Lounges

My group will be in Vegas in April and August this year. We typically go to the mega clubs (Tryst on Thursday and then one of Marquee, Tao or Surrender on the weekends). I am contemplating hitting an ultra lounge on our trips. By ultra lounge I mean Hyde and 1OAK. But I have no clue what that scene is like (although I have been to Hyde in South Beach). Can someone give me details on the differences in Hyde/1OAK and the mega clubs? I know Hyde/1OAK will be smaller (and therefore less people) but how does that impact the scene/atmosphere?

    Thanks.

Hyde is more an ultralounge than 1 OAK is. 1 OAK is a club, but isn't as big XS, Marquee, etc...

The view at Hyde is pretty awesome with it opening to the Bellagio fountains. Both places will be open format as far as music goes, although Hyde will become heavier on EDM as the night goes on.

I would suggest doing both. You could even go to Hyde earlier in the night for tapas and drinks and 1 OAK later if you wanted.

Did exactly this on a Friday and had a blast.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
