  • Noob question about table service.

    Hello everybody,

About to book my holiday and am getting very excited about it all.

I've been looking at nightclub table service which had previously been reccomended by a friend. I'm seeing that table service stars at 425.00 USD / 268.953 GBP

I was just wondering what exactly I get for this money? Am I correct in thinking a big bottle of a chosen drink. And once that goes we buy more bottles as and when?

    Thanks

Where is this quote at? For that I would assume its a liter and not any kind of booze you want. You will get the booze and some mixers with it. That price probably doesnt include tax/tip

Seems to be the average price quoted on this website for "table service bottles begin at..."

What is a liter? Do you mean litre? If so, a litre of what?

What sort of booze / mixers? Is there a say in such?

How much tip would you consider the norm? I understand a decent tip will get you found a little more often in regards to having drinks brought over.

      Thanks for the help.

Yes a litre would be the size. A vodka seems to one of the most common liquors. Skyy, Grey Goose, Kettle One, Ciroc are the probably the most popular. Typically, you can pick a couple of different mixers like o.j., cranberry juice, or a soda. At most places you will have to pay extra for bottles of water or red bull. Your tip for the server will be 18% of the 425 or whatever you get quoted for a price. What kind of liquor are you looking for in particular?

Vodka with orange juice/ coke would go down a treat as they tend to be the usual drinks amongst my friends, and we get shots normally per order.

So just to confirm mate: $425 gets a table for the night, 1ltr of vodka or similar (JD perhaps?) and some mixers (am I right to assume we can ask to have a couple, say OJ, coke or lemonade?)

But what is the process when we want tapping up? I assume waiter / waitress is roaming the area to take new orders? Is that right? If so, what sort of pricing am I looking for a top up of the above?

Also: am I right in thinking it is $425 per table, NOT per person.

          Thanks a lot, A!

$425 is the very low end for tables. The mixers get refilled for free, and they'll pour drinks until your bottle is gone. The better the location the higher the minimum amount you have to spend.

They will hand you a menu with all the types of liquor they offer...the prices are also on that menu. They have plenty to choose from, vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, etc.
Mixers are free and refilled all night...yes you can ask for lemonade, pineapple, soda, etc. If they have it they will give it to you, i've had to pay for lemonade before though.
You have a designated busboy, waitress, and security guy. Your waitress will be there to make your drinks for you, busboy will keep the ice and mixers coming as well making sure your area is clean. Security is there to make sure nobody bothers you and walk you to the bathroom if needed.

That $425 is for the bottle (table included of course) but depending on the size of your group you may have to buy more than one. General rule is 1 bottle per 3-4 people in your group. Also, there is an additional 28.1% (20% auto gratuity for your waitress, 8.1% tax) added on top of your total.

This is such a great resource, thanks so much guys.

Dex, when you say the waitress will "make drinks" do you mean we can't just pour our own drinks once we buy the booth get the drinks?

There is only 4 in my group, so I imagine we will do two bottles (So $850 spend) plus shots etc.

Although the additionals are added on (thanks for letting me know) I always tip anyway :-)

Do we just pay one bill at the end of our stay or pay as we go along?

You can pour your own. You can drink straight from the bottle if you want haha
If you're paying with a credit card they will take it and just keep the tab open until you want to close it. Cash is pay as you go.

Best advice is look at every clubs events list- see who the DJ is and compare clubs events to get a sense of what is going on when you will be in vegas.
You should first see if a certain DJ or style of music that you enjoy will be playing before you make a bottle/table reservation.
Also if you are just trying to experience the bottle/table experience you could have it at a strip club for $100 a bottle and you will get a free limo ride to the strip club.

                            Essex...

Ive got to say - this quote youve been given is way low. Its too low. Its not gonna get you anywhere mate.

For four guys you are gonna need to buy AT LEAST two bottles. You wont get anywhere for one bottle between 4 guys.

Always remember tax and gratuity is 28% on top of the total price. And at Marquee it is 38% as they have another 10% "Talent Tax"! (I know!)

If you're going out to clubs you will buy 3 bottles between the 4 of you, without a shadow. You will have girls talking to you and the drink goes so quickly, especially as you are pouring yourself. The measures dont matter...

Dont make the mistake of under-budgeting. It WILL cost you a fortune.

Most clubs vodka is $495, some nights $595 depending on the night/DJ etc. So you will be spending...

                            3 x $495 for your bottles = $1485

Plus tax and grat = $415

TOTAL = $1900. $100 tip for your security etc and youre at $2000 and thats $500 each per night.

You will spend that much I guarantee you. Budget an extra thousand pounds to what you think youll spend overall. Vegas is super expensive.

Good call tomm0....we usually go over budget by around $500 between waters, redbulls, shots, or the "F-it I want another bottle".
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
