Has anyone been to Act? How is it? I just can't get my mind wrap around the concept. Is there a dance floor and what music do they play? Just this nightclub seems kind of weird to me.
How is Act?

I was there a couple weeks ago (on a Friday night). It was a bit odd, but I'd probably check it out again. The upstairs area was closed for a private event so I may not have gotten the full experience.
The "main room" is pretty small and is really set up for bottle service. There isn't really a dance floor but right up by the stage there is some open space that could be used for dancing. Nobody was really dancing...I get the feel most people were looking around and trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Once the "show" started (around 12:30) there were a few acts that came out on the different stages. I liked the music - I'd describe it as industrial EDM but it probably varies by night and what is happening on stage.
My group left around 1:30 or so and I have a feeling we missed the majority of the acts on stage. The place was far from packed that night and I felt like the time between acts was pretty long.
Bottle prices were pretty high. I took a peek at one of the menus and don't remember seeing any liquor for less than $595. Drink prices at the bar also seemed to be $3-4 higher than most clubs.
I think it would be a great venue to get bottle service for a mixed group as long as everyone isn't looking for a packed dance floor. The tables around the outside wall or right between the round stage and the bar seemed to be the best to me.
I'm attaching a grainy picture that might give you some idea of the feel. photo.jpgphoto(1).jpg

I went on a Wednesday night, which is their industry night I believe, and the place was packed. Played mainly EDM with mix of hiphop thrown in. As cowboy mentioned the main floor area is pretty small, but the upstairs was open and nice to check out the main floor from that vantage. Acts started little before midnight that night and were very entertaining, after seeing most of the places on the strip it was kind of nice taking people to a place where you don't really know what the hell is going on.
Definitely different than the other clubs and lounges, but also worth a visit, especially in the middle of the week like on wed when Surrender is the only other main competition out there that night.
Bottle service there would be nice but it seemed on the high end compared to most places.
