  • Saturday night Bottle Service at top club for Stag (Bachelor) Party

    Hello all,

    This is my first post but have been an avid follower on JC.com, especially enjoying the trip reports.

    Can anyone please help, we are coming over from the UK on 25th April 2013 for a weeks stag (bachelor) party. The party consists of 10 males, all late 20's.

    We want to do a big night on the Saturday night at one of the top clubs with Bottle Service. We have an absolute max budget of $400 per person, but would prefer closer to $300. We all enjoy similar music, which is house/dance music, Calvin Harris/David Guetta/Afrojack etc.

    We have been looking at and would love to go to XS, Marquee and Surrender.

    In the UK there is not so much of a tipping/sales tax culture as there is in Las Vegas.

    So my question is can anyone recommend how far we would get with the budget stated above and break down of tips/tax/handshakes etc.

    Thanks

    Mike

    $350/person is $3500 all-in. That works out to a a $2400 minimum and $300 host tip.
    So that's about 4-5 bottles. That won't get you prime location, but should be enough to get
    inside at XS and Surrender....maybe tier3 inside at Marquee. It will definitely depend on the DJ.

    You're definitely in the ballpark though with your budget. There will be some new clubs (more competition)
    opening at that time so that may work in your favor. You'll just need to see who is spinning where, and get
    some quotes when you're within 2 weeks. You should be able to get something good lined up with your budget though.

    Here's a breakdown of my estimate...

    Minimum = $2500
    Tax = $300
    Server Tip = $500
    Host Tip = $300
    TOTAL = $3600

    Other tips to plan for:
    Runner = $40
    Security = $60
    Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

      Thanks Chuck that's a great help, I presume from your comments that there are different locations within all 3 clubs that will cost more or less dependant on how popular / close to the dance floor they are.

      Also how do we know who to tip and when? will it be pretty plain to see?

      Thanks

        You will tip the host that takes you to your table. The server gets the auto gratuity on your bill (20%). You will also need to tip the security guard in your area and runner (both of whom your host/server will introduce you to). For a group of 10, maybe a little more than the $60 suggested by Chuck.
        EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

          I try to temper my tipping advice a little....I don't want to come off as telling people to tip like crazy....but the last time I did bottle service our security guys were tipped at least $100 by the end of the night...mainly because multiple people were tipping them not realizing others were also tipping them. I will tell you this though....the security was all over anything we needed and constantly checked in to see if they could do anything for us.

            This post has been helpful. I am heading out there this saturday 2/2/13 to XS (planning for at least).
            So I dont look like a fool, Chuck what is your estimate for 6 guys? I think there was another thread that I mentioned I was quoted $1550 for 2 bottles for us 6 (including tip and gratuity).

            Now from what it looks like are my costs a little too unrealistic?

                It really depends on the venue you choose to attend. 2 bottles for 1550 is very reasonable, but just don't expect prime seating location
