  • Questions from a first timer

    Hey all,

I was wondering if anybody has some suggestions or would be able to provide me with some good information.

I am heading down to Vegas for my very first time along with my girl and another couple arriving March 7th and heading home on the 11th. The music we like to party to, is house/techno and I was wondering which clubs would be playing house/techno exclusively for the entire night on Thurs. night, Fri night and Sat. night? We do not like electro/commercial dance at all if that helps.

A friend has mentioned Drai's to me, so basically music drai's plays in the main room is the stuff we are looking for.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

March 7th can't come soon enough!

XS, Marquee, Surrender and Body English are your best bets, just check the schedules for which DJ's will be in town during your trip. Thursday you might get lucky at Tao, but that is usually an open format night everywhere.

Marquee / XS / Surrender on Fri/Sat - have a look closer to the date which DJs are playing

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Thank you ccc and thank you ocam!

I will check the schedules, I guess its like anywhere, they post the line-ups no sooner than a month in advance. Hopefully I get lucky and catch one of my fav djs the weekend I am in town.

Perfect!! I am liking the bookings Body English has, seems a little more techy and underground sound. Is body English an after hours? Marquee has some decent trance guys, I might check that out too.

Afterhours in Vegas is a bit different. Drai's and Artisan have after hours starting around 3am, but Marquee and especially XS can go to 4,5, 6 am.

how late or early rather in the morning does body english typically stay open until? Also what is the dress code like there? And by chance do you have a contact for me for boduy english?

                          Thanks
