I'm hoping for a little help from the experts out here - I'm not really a club guy, so this is all pretty new to me (but this forum has been great!).

Background: 4 couples going to Vegas Friday 2/8-Sun 2/10, staying at Encore. The women in the group want to hit a club each night, the 4 guys are looking to go with them Friday night but not Saturday. They want to go somewhere within the Wynncore complex both nights, so it's Tryst, XS or Surrender.

Plan: Avicii is at XS that Saturday, so I was thinking about buying the ladies tickets for that (either through wantickets or the concierge at Encore). I was thinking BS for 3 guys at Tryst on Friday and the 4th guy could wait in line with the 4 women to get in.

Am I off the mark here or does this sound like a decent weekend? Anyone have other thoughts? Somehow planning this fell to me and I want to make sure everyone (especially the women) have a great time.

    Thanks

Is one bottle really going to be enough for 8 people? Doubt it very seriously, so there's really not much reason for anyone to stand in line at Tryst. It's not exactly the place to be at this point, so I would think you could get a decent deal.

Avicii will probably sell out, so I would buy your tickets now if that's the route you're going to take.

To me, Surrender loses its appeal when it's cold outside. It's much better in the summer months.

You might be better served to look at options outside of Wynncore for Friday night if you want to do a group BS. 1OAK at Mirage isn't too far away and you might be able to swing some kind of deal there to keep prices low, get 2 bottles and still get a decent table location. Tao or Lavo are a couple other options if you don't mind having a table out of the main room.

Also, if you ask for a table for three guys then it might be in a spot that makes it very tough to squeeze the other five people in.

Do you have an overall budget in mind?

Thanks guys. We are certainly not wed to Tryst on Friday - is it that bad now?. One guy doesn't drink at all and 2 of the women are pretty serious lightweights, so I thought 1 bottle would be enough. Not opposed to buying a second. I'd like to keep it under $1200 for Friday if possible.

          Hey Azlotus,

I work for Surrender at Encore. First, I have to disagree with the poster who said that Surrender looses its appeal when it's cold out. We have a HUGE temporary structure built over our pool patio that protects from the elements and is heated. Additionally, ALL of our bars our covered. Over 10,000 square feet of indoor club space, not including our gaming pavilion in the club with blackjack and craps.

The Friday night you're in town we have Lil Jon as our DJ. He always throws a high-energy party with a good mix of beats. Ladies can get in for free on the guestlist--don't buy tickets! And, I agree that one bottle would be enough based on what you said. You should be able to stay within your budget.

All of the outdoor seating at Vegas nightclubs lose their appeal in the winter. Some people just grin and bare it, because they cant afford an inside table.

This. There is zero upside to being outside in the winter other than price.

                Hi Azlotus
Here is my advice for 2/8-10
Looking at the lineups and having visited all three clubs.

On Friday I would send the four girls alone early to Surrender for FREE entry and FREE open bar from 11-12am.
They can check the place out and get a free drink or two.
Have them leave by 11:30pm and meet up with the guys at XS.
I would buy four presale guy tickets and four presale girl tickets for David Guetta at XS.
XS is the best club of the three and David Guetta is the best DJ all weekend.
Guetta will probably play from 1230-230am or 1-3am
The cost of the presales is around $200 50x4 for guys and $25 each girl- $300 total.

For Saturday I would see how everyone feels who wants to go out.
Avicii at XS would be 1st choice, Eric Prydz at Surrender if your group is getting in free.
I say this because most people will be at XS.

XS has best production of the three clubs- three LED screens, lights, confetti, etc.
Surrender you need to be inside the club, not the tent or outside area. Only has one LED.
Tryst has a nice waterfall but that's about it.

There should be no thinking needed: Eric Prydz. Do it.

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate the help.

As I said before, I'm not a club guy - but the more I think about it, I'd really like to do bottle service for the 8 of us (4 guys/4 women) Friday night and just have a blast - don't really know the music differences, just looking for a party atmosphere. If that is David Guetta at XS on Friday, so be it. I'm sure I'll have to adjust my budget (basically I'm covering most of the cost for the group), but what the hell.

My casino host at Wynn gave me John Wood's name for XS, but he seems more of a "corporate" guy than a host. Has anyone ever dealt with him?

                    Thanks again

XS can be dangerous arriving this late, they have hit capacity the past few weekends when Afrojack was there. Door hold for 2 hours, meaning no one gets in (except the few high roller friends with stupid high table mins, maybe.). The outside has been closed, limiting the max capacity. Also, Surrender isn't the same with the tent, still cool. For couples, I like tryst, you can get a deal there, I'll PM. 1Oak is solid too across at Mirage.

If you needed any more encouragement to see Eric Prydz (which you shouldn't), just listen to his essential mix from a couple days ago. Brilliance.

Working with a recommended host from this site. Looks like Tryst on this Friday for a 2 bottle minimum, have not nailed down a table location yet. It's a friend's birthday. Is this going to be a good time/value? I was quoted $4000 for a table at XS, so that looks outside our budget of 1200-1500 for friday. Thanks
