  • Glowsticks, neon, lasers and all. Which club?

I've read around here a lot on different clubs on what they offer as well as on yelp. However on my upcoming trip we want one of our nights to be more crazy if you will. I've read and seen some clips of some clubs with more lasers, glowsticks, more neon and all that but I'm wondering which club, or two you think would be the best for this for a night or does it strictly depend who's playing?

    Thanks

Most major clubs will have those neon glow sticks.. they just throw them out into the crowd during a headliner DJ performance. But I agree with gubu in terms of lasers and lighting on Marquee

Marquee has the best lights on the dance floor and the worst dance floor to actually try and get to without tables. It'll be packed on the dance floor and unlike XS or Tao no real way of seeing the dance floor/DJ without pushing your way on to it or seeing it as security hurries you along the aisle running along the outside of the dance floor.

Yeah I've heard that as well. I know marquee is apparently know for all this but we want to be able to actually dance too lol whats the fun standing in a corner with a glowstick looking at lasers. And from their website pictures the main dance floor looks small.

Maybe I should ask what club has a decent dance floor and mix of the previously mentioned stuff?

Fordan, I've never really thought about the actual dance floor and stuff before. lol. Marquee is the 800 lb gorilla IMO. No where else that I've been to even compares. The lights, the sounds, the lasers, the confetti. Marquee. Marquee. Also there are two other spots inside marquee that may entertain you as well.

That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

Thanks for the video, looks awesome haha. Like I said my only concern is the size of the dance floor and us not being vips or having a table not being able to get near there, from what I've read, vegas virgin so trying to learn as much as I can before I go.

Also wondering when Light and hakkasan will be opening but I didn't think dates had been released yet, because I would love to check out hakkasan from what I've read about it.

IMO every major club has a packed dance floor. I think some of the least crowded dance floors I've seen have been at 54, Rok, and Pure lol. I take it back, Pure was crowded as shit. I think Hak opens in April, someone can correct me. At Marquee, if it gets too crowded they will rope off the dance floor so be prepared. I think I've seen this at XS too. The one time I went to Surrender we stayed at our cabana and I could only see the crush of bodies inside; I have a feeling it gets VERY packed too. My advice, pick the club you want to go and just have fun. Dance floors by themselves are not restricted space, you don't need to have a table to dance there.

Thanks for the tips! We were planning on getting wherever we go early with the line issues and all, I'm fine showing up a little early to avoid waiting in lines. Been looking into the presale tickets to help that too.

Presales are the easiest way to get in.

Great video, feel like I was just there! (I was like 2 feet behind the video taker)

The thing with Marquee is that if you do want to see the DJ and effects and everything, it's inside table, dancefloor, or nothing. If you stop in the aisleway that circles around the dancefloor & tables you will get asked to keep moving by security. With XS & Tao there are a number of spots you can stop and see the DF & DJ. But XS and Tao aren't as heavy on lasers & effects as Marquee.

While I love Marquee, I'd probably give the nod for GA to XS for fun. Especially when warmer and you can go outside and see the back of the DJ (and front via video screen) while enjoying a bit more breathing room.

And no major Vegas club has a big dancefloor, unfortunately. Tables tables tables.

I understand how much they make off table, well actually I probably have no idea, but I still think it'd be nice to have a club with a bigger dance floor. Thanks for all the tips though, welcome any more.

If it is 3 girls ....that does not want to buy a 600 bottle...will we have a hard time getting in? I know in Miamia and NY it was a breeze guys were looking for girls to add to their party so they could purchase a bottle. Would we be better off trying to get on a guest list? Thanks

Marquee dancefloor can be way too crowded on weekends in the main room - without a table. The club has multiple rooms and areas, but the main room where everyone wants to see xyz DJ, is small and without a table you will get pushed around a bit. With a good table, the show is awesome, can't deny. I'm a fan of the pool area to be honest and end up hanging there all night most of the time. Every club has the neon lights, sticks, etc.. and will have a crowd. In terms of having a larger floor (or at least less packed). If I'm in the mood to hit the dancefloor, here's my spots.

XS- Can be crowded too but much larger floor so you should be able to find a spot to post. Top Electronic/House DJ and you can get away by the pool cabana area.

1Oak/Haze- Sound systems boom! and they have characters in costumes that come out and party. Dancers are very interesting constantly changing costumes and doing cool fun stuff.

Surrender - You can sort of get away and dance by the entry leading to pool area... and still see the DJ.
