    Hi,

My brother and I are visiting Vegas from the UK for a long weekend Weds 27th Feb to Mon 4th March. There is just the two of us and we are both late 20's. We are wanting to visit a couple of the big nightclubs whilst we are there. We have cash to spend but not to the point that we want to be buying $800 dollar bottles of vodka! Especially when there is only two of us.

Is it possible for two guys to just turn up at one of the big clubs, pay to get in and buy a beer at the bar? If so how much should we expect to pay for that? I have seen loads of prices for "bottle deals" on the net, but not the price for a plain old bottle of beer. Can you even buy a bottle of beer in the big clubs!?!? Are pre-bought tickets the way forward?

I appreciate this might sound daft, but I can't find definitive answers to my questions anywhere! Where I come from, if I want to go out with my mates we just go to a club, queue, pay at the door and then buy beer / shots at the bar and have a dance. Is this possible in the big clubs in LV!?!?

    Thanks in advance.

All that is possible at the clubs in Vegas. I'm not sure about all the different varities of beer they carry but on average your gonna pay around $10 a bottle

Good news! The bottles of vodka are only $600! (plus gratuity, Live Entertainment Tax, handsh... nevermind)

For the big Tier 1 clubs like Marquee, XS, Tao on a night with a name DJ, presales are a good idea. GA pay-at-the-door is fine if there isn't a big name DJ, although presale might save a few dollars (at the cost of locking in your choice).

You can absolutely go in and buy from the bar. I want to say a beer is $10-ish and mixed drinks like $12-14? When I do GA I usually end up opening a bar tab and don't pay that close attention to the individual charges and just focus on the total.

A lot of times if I'm using a bar that isn't insanely packed I tip $20 up front when starting the tab to help them when deciding who to serve next when I'm in line and how strong to make the drink.

      Still cheaper than Ibiza.

Definitely do presales for the big clubs if you want to check them out and have no trouble getting in with two guys. It'll guarantee entry and you won't have to deal with finding two girls to accompany you to be able to get in incase it's a big night and they're only willing to do 1:1 ratio entry. Decide which clubs you want to go to and go their websites and find tickets for the dates. Earlier the better/cheaper it is for you.

Ok after reading this, I have a question as well.. Last time I was in Vegas, I was with my boyfriend, and we met 2 guys at the rhumbar who were super awesome! We all wanted to go out after, so we headed to The Bank.. I know, not a top nightclub, but whatever, they were paying, lol.. anyways, when we got to the club, the charged the guys to get in, but not me, because they were letting ladies in free.. is this typical for all the clubs? If there is a long GA line, do women ever get to go ahead of the line? I'm just wondering what to expect, cause this time in March, i'll be with 2 of my girlfriends, so it will just be a small group of girls! We are wondering if we should by Pre Sale tickets for any of the clubs, or if that is a waste of money, if they let women in free, anyways!

For all the clubs, yes girls do get in free pretty much all night. Whether you need to be on guestlist or not to get in free depends on the club and the night. With the exception sometimes during peak holiday weekends (NYE, MDW, EDC, LDW) girls might have to pay $20 cover.

Bouncers/door man at some clubs will go into g/a line to scout out all girl groups and move them to a different line to speed up both g/a and girls filling up the club so never hurts to ask if there's an all girls line when you arrive, most times your promoter/hosts will direct you via text to which line you should line up in. Wouldn't expect you guys to need presales during March either. Just plan on arriving before peak hours to get in faster (10pm-11pm).

Best bet for groups of girls is to reach out to a host a day or so ahead of time or day of to ask about guestlist if you know where you want to go. Or a week or two out to check pricing if you want to do a table as you indicated in a different thread. Make sure you tell the host your group composition.

Thanks very much for the advice. I was beginning to think that the big clubs were going to be out of the question, but it sounds like we can do it within budget and still have a good time.

Any more advice..... Good bars to visit pre-club? We are staying at Planet Hollywood.

If I were a good looking girl (subject to opinion..but some girls just have a misguided self images...anywhoo ) with a good host connect, I would never do Pre-Sale. Deal with a good host and go early and you won't have a problem getting in even when there's a big DJ. They can either get you in free, hook you up with a client, or get you a reduced/girls admission slip worst case. Just go early if there's a big DJ/performer

If I were a dude going when there's a big DJ, I would prob do presale, but it still doesn't guarantee entry if you get there late, if the club hits capacity (like XS the last 2 weekends) it's wrap no matter what ticket you're holding. You still have to go early and sometimes wait in a long, long, line..

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I'm going april 4-8, my last vegas trip was march 2011. So I know how hotspots always change in Vegas
I live in Jersey 20 mins away from NYC so I'm pretty much use to going to clubs with big DJ names, but I'm also the type that has fun in any setting with drinks and people
Can anybody help me with what spots are the best for each night I'm staying.
                      Thurs?
                      Friday?
                      Sat?
                      Sun?

Daytime and nightime parties and afterhours.....is Drais still going?
                      Thanks

Since this is my 2nd time going to Vegas since i've been 21, I didn't really experience much night life last time, MDW, PACKED! Anyways, Is there any hosts that work with each Club, or is it always specific? How do you get a good host connect if you aren't there !! Thanks!!

Thurs- Haze Tryst Tao, any of those, check the DJ /talent lineup closer to the date and go where you prefer musically. (Industry days)

Fri & Sat- Best night can mean different things for different folks. All the clubs are usually busy at that point of the year. So a little more on what type of crowd/vibe/music you like. You should find it easily with everything open.

Sun- Bank, Lavo, Body English - Same as Thursday, check lineup, music. I know Body English is steering toward hip/hop old school with a lot of cool old school East Coast guys, like Dela Soul, Tribe Called Quest, performing on Sundays..

Drais- is about to close beginning of Feb. and reopen in Ballys. The spot in Ballys isn't done yet but hear it will be open March. The area is smaller than current drais. Body English is doing after hours so that may be a late night option. Hope this info helps.

If you know one good host, he has a good connect at every club pretty much. Just let him connect you instead of driving your self crazy goin club to club trying to find someone. You already know good hosts through this site and PM one that you like. Give them an idea of your plans and they will let you know how to navigate and connect you. Feel free to Pm me for any help.

Crazy how long the lines get. KazFlair is right, if you're a "attractive Female" deal with a host, it's much easier. Women have it alot easier in Vegas! If you're hot, dressed right, Vegas is your's for the taking...lol
